Anyone interested in an AMG Supercharger???

You don't miss something like this.
Well, this is very interesting but who would buy a used supercharger and instal it on their car? If I ever buy a used one it will go straight to a trusted rebuilder to be remanufactured. I don't care if it has 7,000 or 160,000 miles because I would assume since I can't verify the condition over the internet, its worn out and a worn out price is all it's worth.

I agree, something is not adding up. If this seller is not Andrew, then why would he say that he will explain after the auction? If he knows the picture is of Rudy's old SC, and he knows the seller which is in the same town...... He is wrong for protecting the seller until after the sale. Why is euro_ecu bidding on an item by vdog313 if they know each other and live in the same town? Why not just go to his shop and buy it? Sounds to me like the same person with 2 profiles pumping up the bid on his own item. Also, he said that once Rudy let him know about his email address being attached to that account , he fixed it. How did he fix it if it was not his account? And, why would he let another shop in the same town use an old account of his? Why did the real seller need to use an old account of Andrews? When you list something on eBay, you get an email confirmation of the listing. Why did Andrew not notice that someone else posted a listing on an old account of his with his email addy linked to it? I could go on and on, because this thing is so full of holes. I will happily eat my words later if necessary, but for now, I call BULLSHIT!
Andrew, come on here and explain what is up. Why do you need to wait until after the sale? It is false advertising, and at the least, you are an accomplice.

Dear vdog313,
Is the serial number as shown in the picture the actual serial
number of the super charger being sold? Can you provide any proof
that this supercharger has only 7k miles on it? Thanks
Wednesday, January 27, 2010 9:22 PM
Yes the serial number is correct and actually I need to update the listing as the car had 57K and not 7K. Oversight on my part.
- vdog313
So, I guess whoever is selling it.... Is selling Rudy's old SC.
Ebay listing updated with:
On Jan-27-10 at 18:26:08 PST, seller added the following information:
Mileage is actually 57K. It was a mistake on my part and I apologize for the misinformation and inconvenience.

Wow! This is juicer than the Pizzaguy soap thread. Just when I thought things were getting boring around here. Nice crosschecking and detective work guys!
Years ago there was a Sacramento attorney, Kenneth Walton, that was selling numerous forged paintings on Ebay one of his fakes was up to $125K before he was exposed. I wrote the the president of of the California Bar, who assured me that they would take a close look at the matter. Walton got disbarred, but ended up doing consulting work for Ebay, sheesh!

Yay, auction is over. Here is the info for everything. It is pasted from a PM sent to Rudy after the info was posted, so poor timing on my part.
"You're killing me here. Of course that's your SC. I had sold the SC to Airfrcd on Mbworld. Dropped it off at UPS, had them pack and ship and paid for extra insurance. Now the bad part is I'm kinda friendly with the owners GF, and he doesn't like that I think. Anyway, the package arrived and the box was destroyed. The customer was worried the product was damaged and we opened a claim. Well the claim was denied because it was packed improperly and the UPS store never documented they packed it. So I lost out on the money. I spoke to my lawyer and eventually got some agreement. They agreed to refund the initial shipping and insurance charge and the fair market value. We agreed the best way to establish a FMV would be to post it on ebay, but I couldn't say it was from our shop or connected to us as that might change the value. The mileage thing was an oversight, I honestly thought you told me 7k, no big deal on that. I have a max bid set at 5k so no one else is going to win this auction. The FMV will be determined by the highest bidder that isn't me and once everything is settled the high bidder will have a chance to purchase at that price knowing the history.
So yea that's why I have to make up these stories till the auction is over. Not trying to trick anybody.
You can disclose this info to anyone, but not on an open forum yet.
Its a good thing you pointed out that email issue, that couldve have effected my outcome with this overly useless case.
Anthony"
Also realized that my bid was 500 and not 5000 cause Rudy won the auction.
Sorry for the miscommunication and what seemed like a scam, but I had to do what I had to do.
SC is still in the same condition as it was when Rudy sold it to me.

Anthony, I just read your post with the explanation of what occured. First, I will do as stated, and appologize to you for the assumptions that I made. I kept eating at me what you would have to gain by doing this. The only thing that made any sense was that a 7k SC would bring more than a 60k SC. Even at that, what are we talking about.... maybe $100 difference? Certainly not enough to warrant jeopardizing your business for. I think that you can see based on what was presented along with your obligation to not disclose what was going on..... Some pretty strong conclusions can be made.
This, at a time when there have been some pretty strange things going on in this forum.
Thanks for clearing things up, and I hope you have no ill feelings towards me for the assumptions that I made.

Anthony,
First of all I started this thread because I was trying to help out other members who may of had a need for this (since I have a N/A). I certainly didn't mean to start the resulting discussion. But it is what it is.
I am struggling however with the reason even after your explanation. From the PM to Rudy it appears that you are saying that you couldn't list the SC as being from you? I don't get it; why? Is it a matter of ethics or that you are not trying to influence the overall price because you are trying to set a fair market value?
Either way I can't help but wonder how having the TVT name associated to selling the part has anything to do with the price. If anything I would be more inclined to purchase from a reputable vender than vDog313.
If it is a matter of setting fair market value how ethical is it or how fair is the market price if you (being the seller) is also automatically bidding on the part to drive the price up? While I see what you are trying to do here, I also see some back peddling on your part as well.
I can only hope that this is a one time deal for you and it isn't business as normal. By the way are you ever going to reply to my email from November?
Stay safe and I truly hope that this is a one time deal...
Respectfully,
Paul (MisterTaz)

Fair market value. Can't see how ethics plays in here.

That drives the price up, knowing it was from us.

The highest price, that wasn't ours would reflect the FMV. Explained in the PM.

I'm not sure what email you are referring to. Chances are if I haven't responded in 3 months that I either didn't receive yet (spam filter) or missed it.

Did you happen to buy a spare C32 supercharger back around November? If you did, can you explain to me the details of it?
Thank you

I did, however, the s/c arrived damaged.
