Default AMG Intake Mani's

Not sure if anyone is interested, but here are some "AMG" mani's on eBay:

I assume there's no benefit to these for an SRT6?

There is zero difference internally between the two. Exterior wise is AMG on the top instead of SRT6 and the little tabs on ours that support the back part of the front engine cover are actually just left over casting sprues they didn't remove. The AMG ones do not have these and you can see where they are machined off. One more thing, if use install the AMG ones, you'll be graced with a nice little talkin' to from Steve (32krazy) about how your car still isn't an AMG. LOL I know this from experience. He's a great guy though and it's truly all in good fun.

As Rudy said above, the only difference is cosmetic. I just know a lot of you SRT guys really like the AMG stuff, and this is the biggest AMG logo on the car.

You could also use these (or the SRT ones) to modify like 240M3SRT & Moparrbust:

Yes he is a great guy...
But to the point bein of AMG...so what, that is the equivalent of saying his SLK is not an SRT....
Same technology different name...
And the Crossfire still looks better but I do like the hard convert top.
Six of one..half dozen of the other

Our cars rolled down the very same assembly line his did, our motors were built the same way by the same people at AMG that built his, our cars share more than 90% of the components with his... I think I figured out what makes an AMG an AMG; The unobtanium VIN plate! LOL

The 32AMG can do everything the SRT6 can, except for one thing: turn heads at a track night.

The AMG guys can, however, use their VIN to log into the immortal "AMG Only" section of a forum somewhere in distant cyberspace, for nonstop electronic d!ck-swinging about how inferior all other cars are.

That's reason alone to jump ship, right?

Honestly, I would like to see some of the SRT guys get their hands on a SLK. I think the fastest is 11.6 no-nos. I think the two cars are pretty close in weight. I don't think the SLK owners are that into performance mods (outside of a couple of guys), and 1/4 mile times like the SRT guys.

Actually, I think it's the other way around. I'm guessing the SLK guys would like to get their hands on us but I may be a little biased. LOL

Steve's car, with good D/A, can run low-to-mid 12's all day long. It's stout.

Ummm... a quick visit to ebay (or any auto selling site) to locate a VIN and by magic you are a member.... oh so exclusive...

I have had the opportunity to race 2 SLK's on numerous occasions. Both owners are members here (Steve being one of them), and both have similar mods to mine. The 2 SLK's have separated cooling setups which I do not have. Bottom line is..... the winner has always been determined by who got the best reaction time. Sorry Steve. The point is, both the SLK and the SRT are practically identical in the 1/4 mile.
