Other then keeping this thread on top, what can be done to protect other members of the forum from this seller?

So I gave it a try and swapped my sons and my TCU's today, both cars immediatly popped check engine lights. Put the TCU's back, and the check engine lights cleared. What must be done to use a TCU from another car?

Well, that's too bad, he seemed like an OK guy...but, 3 strikes and you should be out of here... mods??? Seems like 3 realistic complaints to me. If he can respond to Ebay, he can respond to this site...or goodbye...

Are both cars SRT's? You cannot swap frrom n/a to SRT. I know some people have changed them with no problem and Rudy told me they were not VIN specific. You might want to send Rcompart a PM and ask him.

Here are my thoughts about SoftballJunkie:

Notwithstanding your exhibition of ignorance, the pump will probably show up tomorrow, since rude and impatient little ****** like you always seem to get ahead.

Furthermore, if you do a search on here you'll see there is a second identical pump under the hood you could re-purpose for the H/E. It takes less than and hour to perform the swap.

Oh, an once again, you typing something doesn't make it fact. I do know a lot, and one of the things I know (besides you being an ***) is that tracking isn't free.

I hope your pump never arrives. LMAO I'll sit back and drink a beer to your suffering. Actually, I'm laughing right now and drinking a beer to your car not running properly.

I know he's a *****, as I've seen it myself in the only transaction I had with him.

It's sad that something like this happens, I have made many purchases from members on this forum and they all have been a positive experience. I realize that things can come up, delays in shipping ect. But this does not sound like it is ending well in this case.

I agree. I've many great purchases with members on this forum. The only bad deal I ever had was the side skirt group buy that was messed up by a former member that thankfully has been banned.

He has not logged in since: 10-18-2011 , 01:09 PM
This thread was started on 10-22-2011 , 09:05 AM

I sent him a PM with a "Request a read receipt for this message" checked which he has not yet opened/read.
I asked that he post in this thread with an explanation for this transaction and other accusations against him.
I want to allow him an opportunity to view this thread and respond before I take any action to ban him.
I have been following this thread from the beginning and will continue to monitor it as well as watch his log in data here.
If anyone else has a complaint about this individual send me a PM please.

Thanks, Gary

Yes, both cars are SRT's, just wanted to try the TCU swap. As soon as Paypal makes a decision, I will try the one that I am likley to get stuck with. If it acts the same and causes a check engine light i will contact Rudy to see what can be done. Thanks

As for SoftBallJunnkie. I can post a photo of the unopened package showing the actual shipping date and you can check my PM's to see that he lied.

My only point was if you can respond to a complaint on one internet site, but not this one, it doesn't look good. Screw ups happen, as I have been guilty of that. You get busy, don't ship something right away. Forget you promised someone a part, but never got around to getting it to them...I'm talking free stuff here. If there is money envolved, you will get your parts. But there isn't a reason to beat a dead horse. My conversations with him were always positive. I haven't ever purchased anything from the guy though. Let us see if Gary can get answers to the accusations toward him. Without answers from him directly, it is hard to just ban someone. But with two other members with similar problems, it does look like a problem, or he just isn't good at selling stuff over the net. Either way, we have all been warned.

Unexpectedly, PAYPAL has reviewed the case and refunded my payment. After hearing about the need of using a credit card I thought I was out of luck. I like PAYPAL!

PAYPAL can be hit or miss....use the credit card...and ebay is a joke...no help at all. You had better have a history with most purchases over the net, or be ready to get burned. Luckily, only been burned a few times out of 100's of purchases, but always cautious...

I have 300+ eBay purchases and not been burned once. I had PayPal help out when someone did not want to ship after the auction winning price was lower than they wanted, I got the part.

I did not go in on any group buys here though.

Good for you Dave... I was burned by a guy in CA on some Harley parts. Ebay was no help. I had a young man stationed out there with the FBI...he handled that one for me. Unfortunitely for me, he transfered before the deal with Dan Root took place. I even bought the Harley on ebay, but you better know who you dealin' with, or even your old wise butt will get burned someday...you are just farther up north to get too...lol It's nice to have law enforcement friends all over the states. I was fortunite to have either trained, served with, or met a lot of them over the years. Many went on to Federal careers. I even have an old RCMP retiree here locally...so watch it Dave...lol

He didn't he lied and stated the part was shipped and then cancelled my paypal refund request on the 19th the day he actually shipped the part. If I get stuck with a non-usable part that is totally on me. I thought that others would like to know of a bad trader so that no one else gets burned by the same trader? Didn't we have a trader on the site a while back with multiple forum names who took money from multiple members?
I believe while these are VIN specific they can be reprogrammed, i thought i ight of needed a new computer and the autoshop i was at said find one used and he can have it reprogrammed. Sounds like this is a "good usable part" too me I dont think he can be labeled a bad trader because of this

It maybe, but acording to Rudy will require chips to be changed and reprograming to do so. That was not the point of the post, he lied and I am not the only person on the site to have problems with SB Junnkie. Read the other posts and trade with those you decide are safe. Your call.
