forgive the stupid questions.. but the crossfire I just bought doesn't have an engine cover. Do I need it... (are the air filters within the engine cover)? If it is.. I'd be happy to buy it from you.
Thanks
Tommy
Thanks

1. did you buy an SRT6 ? ( if not, then an SRT6 cover won't fit. )
2. is there a 3" pipe ( or 2 ) running from the throttle body to the front of the radiator ?
If so, then you have a CAI ( Cold Air Induction/Intake ) and the filter(s) are in front of the radiator behind the grille - see my picture below .
3. If it is NOT an SRT6, and there is no CAI, then yes, you need an engine cover, that's where the 2 filters are located on a N/A ( Normally Aspirated ) engine.
( That is a Mercedes C320 engine cover in my picture, it is for looks, it has no filters )

Yes.. it is an srt6, I'll have to change the supercharger oil in the near future.
Since winter is coming... the engine should have a little blanket, no?
There are two banks on the side of the engine.. once again I'm not sure.. but is that where the air filters reside? I think after reading your answer, there is no need for the engine cover for the srt6
One last point.. it is because of this site that I purchased the crossfire and I'm grateful to all the users and contributers that make crossfireforum just a fantastic resource.

Sorry for the delay, this went to my junk email for some reason.
I have the nav unit and the engine cover still.
PM me with your address for a ship price.
