Just to answer your question, though, they are identical. There are a number of equivalent speakers available. There is a thread here with a list of those, usually in the $20 range or so, each.

 

Oh..did you hook up on the hood with StevE55?

And on the subs.. I don't think any on the list (fairly sure) are dual voice coil as the OEM's are.

Actually, a couple of them ARE the dual-voice coil, per stock...I checked into that before I repaired mine!

I did hook up with Steve55, but my car isn't going to the hospital until tomorrow. Seems he wants to keep the CF hood, if I remember correctly...thanks for asking!

I stand corrected...none of the direct fit have the dual voice coil...

I'm thinking they are impossible to find for our cars outside of OEM's

Did our "sister" cars.. the slk320 .. have like rear subs?

 

I know there was a Bose that had the dual-voice coil...I might post the model if I can find it...I think old age is catching up with me, though! LOL!

I wonder if that's not the case...or there are other (newer) model years that have the same part...
