Is it just me or is that price a little high, no pads and the rotors may be shot. Whats everyone paying for bigger brakes?

Agreed that it's a bit high... but it's also a guaranteed fit. Personally I'd wait a week or two, and offer $300 shipped.

IMHO I wouldn't feel comfy slapping used pads/rotors on my car. If the pads are shot, you'll need new ones anyways and the rotors would need to be turned. Then, you have the issue of minimum thickness... Seems like it would offer more peace of mind to simply start fresh. Different budgets allow different things, though.

I understand completely, I may offer him somthing low for the calipers and just " build" me a set, I'm wanting drilled and slotted and the 32 calipers with some carbotechs would be perfect for autocross

I'd just get the Centric ones off Amazon... they're slotted (basically the Power-Slot rotors) and very affordable:

P/N for fronts: 126.35052SL/R
P/N for rears: 126.35048SL/R

Run those with the Carbotech pads, stainless lines, and some Motul RBF and call it a day!

Should be good for rearranging all loose items in the car

You don't get hassled for using that name?

It's very likely that my word creation is far from accurate, but it works phonetically (and gets the point across). I found it appropriate being a site that caters to a premium German brand.

The purists on MB-World don't scare me off, after all I have just as much of a right to participate as they do. Especially since there's as much AMG in my drivetrain as theirs. That being said, I enter all discussions with facts -- I don't get into the "brand name" d!ck swinging. I have been well-received over there, partly because I'm long on praise of others' rides; and I try to be as helpful as possible, whether it's a C32 guy asking about aftermarket goodies or an SLS owner asking about detailing products. I joined the forum with the full expectation that my car would get little respect, and so far that has proven to be true. The trap times in my signature speak for themselves, and it's there for everyone to see. C63 owners respect no one except fellow C63 owners... E55 guys still think they're the baddest guys on the block, so that forum is chock-full of sophomoric arguments that would make Jerry Springer cringe. But the vast majority of the forum is helpful and welcoming. Some solid friendships have come from that site. The cigar crowd is a bit more active as well.
