Default WTT sprint booster (SBCY0002S) for catback

I know this is a long shot but my son has been driving my crossfire quite a bit lately .. esp after I informed him that it will be his car when he becomes a senior in high school. I've been noticing he has been activating the sprint booster when he drives it... which I don't like but I can understand why. Anyways , I'm fixing to remove it so rather it sit on the shelf in the garage I wanted to see if anyone has a used cat back exhaust laying around that they would consider trading for it. The sprint booster is currently in a 05 limited automatic.. I'm not sure if it will work in a standard transmission or not. If interested just let me know. Thanks...john

Im also new to the crossfire so I really dont know how to explain it. It gives it instant acceleration without any lag on the throttle. It gives you the perception of being quicker.

Just FYI, if you are against him using the sprint booster, I am completely baffled as to why you would put a catback exhaust on the car? The sprint booster adds no power at all, and while the exhaust adds virtually no power, anyone who drives with one knows you stay on the pedal harder and longer just to hear the thing. Not to mention when others pull up next to you and see/hear a performance exhaust, they want to race...

My point, if you are concerned about the SB, maybe an exhaust is not the best idea for an ~18 year old...

I was also wondering this as well John ......
and the catback will draw attention from the police too.

I thought of this after the fact..lol but from my understanding a cat back doesn't give any gains on hp. I could be wrong though. The sprint booster spins the rears at half throttle (this is why my son likes it). I just wanted to give him something with a bit more throaty sound.

No real HP gains, but between police, potential races, and the need to want to 'hear it' he will be all over the throttle. Spinning them off the line is fine because these NAs don't have enough power to really get you in trouble, but they are capable of very high speeds, so if he gets into a race and feels he needs to prove his ***** are big, he may do something stupid at 130+ MPH.

I am by no means trying to tell you what to do, but I am only recently 30 and had a few nice cars when I was younger... (I did some pretty stupid stuff racing with my buddies)
