That is exactly what I was thinking! I admire the passion, enthusiasm, and experience that Josh brings to the table here. I hope someone can take this young man up on his most generous offer. Just wish it could be me.

I don't have a list written up for the 5.4 SC, but swapped into an SRT it would be around $14K probably, and maybe like $16K to go into an NA. Of course based on a generous offer because it's a ton of work with a lot more parts involved.

Honestly if this were offered when I did mine, and someone could do the electronics, I would be too.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Maybe down the road we could figure something out.

Like others said theft and swap would be the best. But if I smoked my engine and had the loot handy this would be mod #1. Killer deal.

The wife and I are looking for a steal on a 6-speed (vert.) for our second X-fire. We really miss having a real stick! And when we do, I'll want it to burn some rubber.

Well, the first will be underway soon. All parts are ordered and en route. I'll take pics so that everyone can see what they'll get.

I'm coming into some money soon via severance package/bonus since my company got sold... and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to be a responsible adult and make good decisions with my $$

I was so excited that some of the parts came in I almost started taking pics, but I'll wait until the motor is here first at least lol.

Your company got sold out from under you? I'm sorry to hear, hope something else is lined up man.

I don't think any man can say they made good money decisions and have "car mods" in the same sentance Lol. I know you and I have talked in the past about doing one for you, so just let me know man.

I also wanted to add something up top, not sure if I did yet or not... When doing the swap through me, I'm giving the option to the buyer to take their old motor and any other parts back. Shipping and all that is on you. You can use them to recoup some money. Based on what could be wrong with the donor engine it's not set in concrete, but it's one of those things where if you want the motor fully intact where I'm not taking parts from it, it will cost a little extra. Not a whole lot though. Just figured I should add since Korey brought it up.

With the wife's roadster almost at 170,000 miles this sounds like a much better option than a new v6. I'll have to blow it up and convince her that this will be the only way to get her baby back! Muhahahaha! Be right back, lol.

If, I say, if I lived on the mainland a V8 into a 6 sp. Xfire swap would be hard to resist! Especially if my Crossfire had high miles on it.

Lol, muuuuch better. I actually saw on here someone pay $6,xxx + to get a stock V6 put in. Made no sense to me why but all I can figure is labor with one or two guys.

Holy crap! I mean, maybe lol. I'd want to thoroughly check out both and the parts it comes with. If there's frame damage on both, which there probably is, it probably wouldn't be a good idea lol.

Well josh after my disappointing 1/2 mile event, I've been shopping for motors. I know where there is a high mileage limited coupe. It's an auto though. Maybe by the end of the year. Lol

Don't get too down Doc. Bad days make us dig deep to get better. I have everything on hold waiting for the G/C suspension. My season is in the toilet. The only upgrade I can see to the SRT-6 engine is the E55AMG engine. Or a, horrors, GM huge hp something or other. If I had a NA, so many choices worth the time, money and effort.

If you're dissapointed in your half mile with the SRT you'll definitely need the 55K swap lol. Auto is the only way to go for that swap right now though anyway lol.

Don't be Doc. You spun the hell out of tires the first 200'. I only trapped 57mph on the run next to you!

lol. I thought I was on water. I love the coupe. I'm thinking a 3rd car. My coupe needs new drag radials to solve our half mile problem. But after watching the others run. I can't imagine what the 55 motor in a stripped down limited would do.
