Sorry for the delay in updates on this project...

I had to break from the design plans for the window fix due to some home issues. We finally got a nice 3D scan of the window, and I am now working on the CAD plans for the new frame.

We are going to be creating these frames on a large format 3D printer, using some high temperature ABS black plastic. I am hoping to have the first test done in a few weeks with pictures.

I will update as progress continues.

Sincerely,

Nexxus

Do not hold your breath, this looks like another idea that died. The idea was good but how was the plastic going to be attached to the canvas, glue or stitching?
Plastic is hard to glue just like glass is, in fact sometimes harder.
The OP has not been here since November.

I expect each kit to cost between 150 to 200 each.

Before we start creating a test kit I wanted to reach out and see how many people would be interested in such a fix kit?

Thanks in advance. Respond to this tread if you are interested.

I am very interested in hearing about what sparked this idea for you? Whatever it was, it must have worked on some level or you wouldn't have gone as far as you did. I just need some info on how to fix this window because I can't afford a new top! please call me at 949-891-3990 thank you so much!

Why not read the the post before yours for the answer?
This was an idea that died on the vine.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize how vague my message is. Yes, I got that it was an idea that died on the vine and my request pertains to the idea that sparked the process and experience I'm sure he gained throughout that entire process. The purpose of my request is to glean some insights that might support me in fixing my top.
