Ebay has complete controls, a bit pricey but maybe but maybe you could buy one, remove one **** and sell the control short one ****? If someone had a bad controller they would probably have the *****?

If you don’t mind changing the colors, there’s a couple of sets for the r170 SLK on there. Just a thought to throw out there

Thanks! But I'm too cheap to buy the whole control panel but I will look into the Mercedes part. I'm function over form and I don't think the color change would be that big of a deal. I've super glued it for now and is almost passable.

Thats what I did, I just bought a set of r170 slk ***** that fit our AC unit from ebay. I didnt mind the change, the silver oem color ones will all crack down the center from use over time. They were cheaply mad sadly.

I'm still looking for a non-working head unit for fault troubleshooting. If there is a doner out there, contact me by PM!

One of mine finally cracked and I superglued it. I'm not happy with the repair, I was in a hurry. What I should have done was clamp it on the bench and superglued the crack and the entire backside, avoiding the stem hole of course. Lightly sand the front side, spray paint it silver. If another **** cracks on me, thats what I'll try.

I have used lots of super glue and epoxies over the years. The best overall I have ever used is JBWeld slow cure (overnight). Superior bonding, lasts forever. Can be sanded, filed, machined, tapped....painted etc.
