Default Fog Lights

I replaced the beat up and cracked fog lights on my 2004 today....I noticed the original ones had a little cap, built into the housing over the tip of the bulb, kinda like a shield...The new OEM replacements had no such cover...was wondering if they changed the design over time? the hardest part of the job was releasing the bulb from the connector.....

Without that cap, you will get high beams flashed at you a lot.

Was that a new design for the later model cars? I really didn;t like the cracked original lenses...

I don't know. I don't remember seeing them without caps.

The caps frequently fell off and rattled around in the housing so the new design from MOPAR came without the caps.
