I’ll include the pictures of both left and right side

Left side has a tab missing.
The right one is still in place. I have highlighted both in red
The tab holds the divider in place
The first 3 images are left side
The last is the right with the plastic tab in place.

The divider activates the top switch. The side latch holds the divider in place.

You can bypass it but be darn sure nothing will interfere with the top in the trunk.

The part should have a number on it, using the manufacturers part number would be cheaper, if this part had a Mercedes part number on it that would be cheaper than using the highly marked up Chrysler number.

Usually there is a part number molded into the inside face, it could be a standard MB part if you are lucky.
But I guess you have already looked.

Most parts suppliers indicate that part is "no longer available" BUT this supplier MIGHT actually have one or more? Look here:

I will let you know if I find a source! The one I used was a brand new one I bought a long time ago on ebay. The old one has the flexible arm broken off and the switch is broken -not much use to anyone.
