"I always sucked at algebra... But I get an equivalent HP of 249.5 Can someone check me on this ?"

I don't suck at Algebra and I got the same HP number you got.

Stock lbs/hp ratio is 14.79
your lbs/hp ratio is 12.74

3180/x=12.74
x=249.6

Shedding 440 lbs got you 34.6 HP!

I'll keep you posted how the car does now that it's been nearly gutted... I'm running Willow Springs next weekend with the National Auto Sports Association, SOCAL division...
Question for you, so do you get beat by 350z's and Mini S's?

Also I am curious how does the XF hold up against the competition in the straight aways?

And if you had a SRT-4 with pretty much everything you have done. Do you think you can beat your own times on each track? Pretty much do you think it is more driver than car. It looks like you know how to drive which is the biggest determining factor.

Once I grad from college, I am going to start doing this looks fun as heck.

Mini S's get me in the turns, 350z's get me in the straights...

I'm not getting a SRT4... You could offer to give me one and I would politely decline...

Thanks for checking those calcs. I think I still can get another 50 lbs out of it when I remove the AC condenser and pump / plumbing... And possibly another 50 lbs with cutting out the door reinforcements and removing the windows (per NASA rules).

But then, based on my estimation I'll add 70 lbs with the roll cage...

So basically, If I can get this thing down to 2,600 lbs I have a fighting chance in TTD class.

I know you have no interest in getting a SRT-4. I was just wondering if you think you could beat your XF times with an equivalently modded srt-4.

Retracting my original claim of 440 lb weight reduction because I now have the OFFICIAL dry curb weight of 2,971 lbs. So, my 2,740 lbs with 36 lbs of gasoline makes the weight reduction only 267 lbs... That makes more sense... I was skeptical of the 440 lbs but based it on the SCCA racing weight of the car at 3,180 lbs.

Sorry guys...

I guess you saw the video from my last race at Willow Springs. Heck I got passed by everybody. The guy who is building my roll cage is coming over today to take measurements. The car is seriously gutted now, bare metal front to back.
