Too many cars...you missed out at Streets, srt6_crossfire. We had about 4 cars going after noon.

NASA is limiting to only HPDE 2 and up groups. Unless you're going again to a different track prior to Laguna event and get bumped up to HPDE 2, then you can run Laguna.

BRHERTEL - please stop reminding me of your track day event at SOW.

We had such a good time, we have already rescheduled for late September. It would be great to have you along!

i am going to a couple of events before that, and judging by the fact my first instructor said i was ready for hpde 4 i think i'll request the bump after the next event. i'll be there.

Verrry Nice!

Just hope it's cooled down by late september. My buddies and HDDP were there towards the end of July last year and it was freaking hot as hell.

Ground temp i think got as hot at 115 degrees. If anything else, you got to do all the runs before noon.

Oh hey, did you guys end up running both ways, CW and CCW?

haha nice... i see someone is really hooked. :-)

nice way to use up all those unused miles if you're going to end up giving it back when the lease is up. =)

met a guy last year at Buttonwillow who was tracking his car to use up those miles just before he trades it in for a minivan...

We only ran clockwise, but we had a couple of different set-ups throughout the day. We started small and by the end we were running the full circuit. The instructor there implied that clockwise was the only way we could do it. We had a good progression though.

If your instructors have mentioned you have a good enough grasp of track driving you can sign up for HPDE 2... it's not like you need an adult's permission to sign up for HPDE 2.

I will be signing up for HPDE 2 for at least the next 2 or 3 events as I still feel my technique needs work ... mainly consistency of the line I take.

Not sure if I'll be able to make it or not... the budget is still up in the air at this point.

So if I was not to run NASA again until their Laguna event comes and it says only HPDE2 and up, can i say "my instructor say's im ready" and i'm in?

I thought the log book that they gave out was needed to be signed by an instructor or something to move up.
