frist trip to the track with 315 35 17's
315 35 17 hoosers,, well they stick like glue. started out 1;st run from idle, did not bog, did not spin just took off, 1.806 60' 12.482, @110.92,,,
2nd run small burn out, then cleaned the tires twice, left about 12 to 1400 again no spin ,no bog just go 1.838 60' 12.481 @ 111.00,,
then got a nice burnout ,cleaned off the tires left at 1800rpm .032 light 1.834 60' 12.391 @ 11170, now i know these 315 35 17 hoosers aren't going to give any no mater what rpm i left at , my next run I pushed the throttle to the floor as the lights were comming down, i left somewhere between 2000 and 2200 rpm 1.798 60' 12.338 @ 11174,, my last run i did the same at the lights again 1.798 60' 12.349 @ 111.65 we had goten there at 7 pm and by 9:39 It was so damn cold by then i said that is it i have a choice and my choice it to get out of this cold weather ok it was 59 degrees with a north wind that equaled 25 below zero., I can't go much south so i guess i'll just have to live with it,, you may laugh about me saying 59 is cold but until you have been in fl. in 59 and below weather ,, brother it is cold.NO LOL here is a couple od vibs from last night, jim

Looks like yer havin' fun Jim!
I know how "cold" 59 can be! One question. How hard does the wind have to blow to make 59 degrees windchill into -25 degrees?
I'm guessin' that wind was pushing against your front and that's the only reason you didn't run 11's!

You guys in Florida have very strange wind chill calculations. Check out this chart; at +40F you'd need a 60mph wind to register a windchill of +25F
You're either having fun with us, or your local weather man is smoking crack.
But hey, I was in Orlando the first week of January at it was a legitimate +30F (no wind) in the morning. That's a bit brisk.

ok it was 59 degrees and there was a small wind,, so it was really wind chill of about 55 but for me that is COLD I grew up in Miami only time spent out of florida was 4 years in military,, that was in ark. and North dakota decota where i froze my a** off glad i was only there for 6 hours. I not tring to say fl. has the best weather , we do have Hurricanes,, but for me i can't take the cold weather, being i have a choice i have and will always be south ,, jim

i need to ask a question.
i was under the impression that the faster the 60 ft time the better the et.
in order to get low 60 ft times dont you have to launch at a higher rpm with no spin? your 60 ft times are the same as mine with the nitto 555r at 1500 rpm and im totally confused now!
i have seen so many time slips and it seems everyone runs a 1.6 to 1.8 60 ft time. how do you get it lower? i have clk rims and looking at mt streets or hoosiers. still have the nittos and now i have a tune to compliment my c3 and other mods.
someone educate me!

Re: frist trip to the track with 315 35 17's
On the last run of the night i heard the supercharger whine get louder, so i took it easy for the 70 miles home. The next day i checked ,smoke test and water test found a manifold with a blown gasket,, replaced the gasket,, the screeming of the engine got louder and idle was now 4000 rpm,, took it apart again replaced the gasket a second time, now i here the whine only when you raise the rpm,, so i remove the other maniflod,, yep, it was leaking also replaced that gasket, now idle is correct ,took it for a test drive runs great now back to the track next wed. 2/10/10. oh just so you know i made my own gaskets from gasket material, I also have a set of stock gaskets if needed. also found a lot of oil spots on the back bumper , any one get that before.? jim

I have to check the torque on the manifold screws constantly and they are always a little loose. The next time I have them off, a lot of loctite blue is going on. I tried a little and it didn't work. Did you get a P0505? If I don't catch the bolts before they get too loose I get a P0505.
