Video Solo 1
Here's my video from Sunday the 30th of January. It was a disappointing frustrating day for me but fun none the less. I was fighting a loose condition all day. Partially because the track was slick and dirty and partially because my rear tires are beyond the wear bars. I almost spun numerous times in the first heat. I was entering the corners at my usual velocity but the rear tires wouldn't allow it. I finished mid pack.
There are a few rays of light from the day. My car is faster than ever in a straight line. I was seeing 10 mph more at the end of the straights, at least the ones where I had the traction to stay in the throttle. And that counts coming off the corners much slower than prior events. The brakes worked flawlessly with no overheating or fade. I felt like I had to leave lots of room for unexpected slipping so I didn't use the whole track, not to mention not feeling confident about where the limit was. The new tires are ordered and the rims should ship the first of next week. Oh, the yellow EVO is on Hoosiers. I don't know how he's still in my class. (B) I still have 8 points to use (Hoosiers are 8 points) but I plan to stay on street tires until next season.

As they say, "Even the worst day on the track is better than the best day with a shovel".
That manhole cover really must have a dip in the back area, it really upset the car on those first few laps. You seem to have the suspension dialed in -- very little nose up or down or roll. You gotta be eager to get those new wheels and tires, and then watch out.
BTW, got the rear camber struts on -- thanks a million. I still need to drive the car around a little to settle them in.
Keep those videos comin in. Tomorrow is groundhog day, and up here we still have a lot of winter yet.

Thanks guys! Living in paradise has it's advantages.
I'm hoping the additional rubber will make a dramatic difference in cornering grip. My brakes are much more powerful than the grip of the front tires so I expect shorter stopping distances. My car generally is extremely stable. Where I goofed is by being stingy. With the new rims and tires coming I didn't want to put new rubber on the current rims. I had to break down and buy fronts so I was racing on new fronts and worn rears. I also raised the rear of the car 1/2" but I won't make a judgement on that change until I get the new rims and tires mounted. The needswings downpipes are annoying for day to day but as I mentioned, they were good for an extra 10 mph at the end of the longest straight, and that was with them closed. A buddy of mine was on worn rear tires and had similar issues. He was 3 seconds slower than the last event. I was 1 second slower.
