Orlando Speedworld Drag Strip This Sunday 5/1
Oops, I typed Stip instead of Strip.
Hey all you Floridians out there. Come join me this Sunday for the Funday Sunday event from 10 to 4 pm. The weather will be in the 80's, which may stop me from running 11's again. I guess an upgraded heat exchanger would help a lot. Curious to see what my gal will do. Hope to see some of you out there! Have a great weekend everyone!

Well, it was in the 80's with a cross/headwind and still managed a few 11.9's with a personal best '60 of 1.695 . My next outing will be at Bradenton on May 22nd. Maybe I'll see a few of you folks out there.
how about an outline of your burnout technique? seems your diff has held up well to the repaeted times at the track. inquiring minds want to know!
For burnouts with my drag radials, I just hold the car around 5500 rpm's in 1st gear only for about 10 seconds. Then I get to the line, hold between 1500-2000 rpms and just punch it. As long as the track is prepped well, I can take off as hard as I can, which is really nice. I'm sure someday the rear diff will give out, but until then, I'll keep enjoying the power to the pavement.

I wish I had seen this thread ahead of time! I would have come out with you. I'm still not sure that I would run my car, but I would have cheered you on for sure. Was Thumper out there too?
Nope. I slept in on Sunday.
Besides, I didn't see any improvements at the track after the latest tune updates like Neil did. Kind of depressing.
Chuck - you should come to the Cruise In May 14th!!!
Neil is coming! Right, Neil???

And yes Kim, see you at Lake Mary!
I missed the posting about the Cruise In. I already have plans for that weekend.
All day plans? The Cruise In is at 5pm (but I think we are going to grab a bite earlier).
BTW - my Chuk & I are going to the drift track off to Tradeport this Friday night to check out the craziness going on down there. Have you guys been there?

I missed this announcement too! Not that I could make it. So, it looks like I need to throw some 100 octane in my car. Do you know what your AFR's are at WOT?

You just made me feel a lot better. After my tune mine is at 12.8 with a cool engine and 93 octane in the tank. I was told it's just where they want it but I've needed convincing that it's not too lean.
