Wavetrac at the track
I can fit a 255 on the front but I believe I'd have to shave the nut that's there. I have over 5 mm room to the inside with the 245's but any lateral movement of the tire under cornering with 255's might cut the tire. (I'm thinking of trying a 255) Offset is 30mm and the rim is 9" wide. My car now has 10,000 mostly track miles. Actually it's a track toy more than anything else but I've keep the car as close to perfect as possible. No swirls, only the best microfiber and buckets with strainers in the bottoms etc. (Adam's products) The car is aligned every 3 months, brakes are checked before every race, oil has been changed twice a year regardless of milage, I pull the plugs frequently to see what they look like. If the car needs something it gets it. I plan to fix the damage and keep it dual duty. What I'm currently thinking is why not wrap it after paint for protection? I don't want to start collecting parts until I have a plan of action and the shop tells me what I need to locate.

Hey Les, sorry to hear about your troubles. I'm glad you're OK, and that the damage to your car was mostly cosmetic. I'm sure it could have been much worse.
Big thanks for your reviews/thoughts on the Wavetrack. I was honestly getting a bit scared by Woody's review of it. I had the back end come out on me on the Dragon before, and that was pretty scary. I was lucky in that there was actually some grass for me to go into, rather than a cliff and some trees. So I'm really looking forward to playing with the wavetrack given your experiences with it. I will have to be careful at the drag strip though. I really don't want to hit any walls.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Les, go with a proper re-spray and skip on the wrap. I've always liked your car from the blue to the stance and wheels you've got on there, Its one of the better looking ones out there for sure!
Lo siento oir ese Les. Hope I got that right. You've been great sharing your track experiences w/ us and I look forward to hearing about your continued success. You were looking for the steering link and rearview mirror the same day you did the damage; this says a lot about your resiliency. Glad you're O.K. and back at it.
Thanks for the well wishes.
I really hate to be the one to tear up a 2006.
But it can be fixed. I'd never looked at the steering links before the accident and boy are they are skinny. Mine bent 180º and almost folded together. Really surprising. But the car is still being driven every day believe it or not. When I get the estimates done this week I'll post a want to buy thread. The scratched headlights can be sanded, the surround ahhh I'm not sure. I want the experts to look before I start collecting.

Only time all day it interfered, but I almost shat myself in the process LOL
I found the reason for my less than stellar times. In the end I finished 3rd in class and 6th overall. The rear tires are done too but they don't look as bad as the fronts.
