Ran a Beech Bend today with a few others.
Today I met up with Nick (SLK55), John (NA Crossfire), and Steve (SLK32) for some 1/4 mile fun.

With a single NW, 181, Eurocharged tune, and SL55 fuel pump I ran five 12.0's. I've never ran so consintently in the decade I've been drag racing, so I was very surprised to say the least. Literally five runs were within .069 of each other. My reaction times weren't too shabby either.
RT----------60'----------330'----------1/8----------MPH-------1/4----------MPH
0.184------1.825------5.073--------7.763-------91.71------12.002------114.86
-0.051------1.801------5.071--------7.776-------91.55------12.019------114.59
0.093------1.814------5.084--------7.784-------91.46------12.033------114.60
0.149------1.833------5.106--------7.802-------92.17------12.058------116.82
0.144------1.860------5.105--------7.809-------91.37------12.071------114.21
I'm still running high 10's low 11's A/F even after a revision. Hopefully I can get a retune before next weekend.
By the way, the temps were in the 60's and I suspect the DA was around 1,200'. I'll check later and update the thread.
Steve had a personal best of 12.15. John was running consistent 14.8/9's in his NA Crossfire as a baseline for the turbo build. Nick surprised us all with a 12.8. Yes, a stock SLK55 ran a 12.8. With slicks that thing has a mid 12 in it.
I didn't get any video of myself, but I got some of the guys.

Wow, that 116.82 MPH is very impressive! Congrats! I'll probably hit the track next Friday to see what I can do.
Looking forward to Dec. 4th when AMX Jim with his SC V8 comes to Orlando and races with a few of us other members.

It's getting there, but unless I can get the A/F under control along with some negative DA, it's just not going to happen this year.
That sounds like a lot of fun. That's the kind of upgrade we all need.

Total blast today!!!
Clearly, I learned that I'm most at home with trail-braking, apexes, and kerbstones... The 6MT is simply not geared for 1/4 mile.
Nonetheless, got some great research/baseline to go off of for the turbo build coming up.
From there, it was basically lather, rinse, repeat.
14.837 @ 96.24
14.963 @ 94.32
14.872 @ 94.87
15.149 @ 95.88 (left TCS on... d'oh)
14.930 @ 94.46
My mods are in the sig... ran today at full street weight with 3/4 tank of gas, 30psi in the rear tires. All runs were done with a 3,500 RPM launch. Run #2 was my best R/T of .031 (!!!), run #3 was a 4,000 RPM launch and saw no improvement.
So, it's a solid 14.9 car, very repeatable. Having to shift at the 60' mark didn't help things... Traction was no issue (no power) so the 60' is as good as it gets with my current power level. Heat soak definitely affects the N/A cars as well, as I was down 2mph from the first run for the rest of the day.
Very impressed with the SLK55, it did the deed.
Anthony and Steve impressed as always. Anthony definitely gets the award for Mr. Consistent
As we learned today, the turbo project can't come a moment too soon.

My first run was my best one:
R/T = .244
60' = 2.253
330' = 6.316
1/8 = 9.632
1/8 mph = 75.39
1000' = 12.443
1/4 ET = 14.837
MPH = 96.24
