Homestead Speedway 1/8 mile. Vid inside
Well i didnt get the 7.9 i was looking for but it was a great night nonetheless. Temp was 73ish and according to dragtimes DA is 858. I'm having 2 issues. First i cannot get lower than a 2.0 sixty foot. and second car keeps short shifting first gear. sometimes as soon as 5400-5600. I cannot go WOT until the end of first gear. Other than that, the 6 felt strong. It has a more in it and as it sits in cooler weather and with traction 7.7-7.8 can be had. Im running bfg drag radials on 18 inch amg wheels. i heat them up but my best time was actually without a burnout..... weird i know. time for some hoosiers.
Ran several 8.1 a few 8.2's. beat a terminator cobra, two evo 9's, is350, g37. and the new cts-v( car needed driver mod)

I know what your going through. My car short shifted from first to second when too much wheel spin was detected. (always) Now with the wave trac the car doesn't short shift but I still can't do better than a 2.0 60'. You need to find grip and practice more, as do I.

I wonder if the TCU tune can fix that early shift issue. Either way i have to get slicks but it would be nice to shift at 6200 in first gear regardless of traction.
I think it's the traction control. It will blink a few times and then short shift unless you have a LSD installed. At least that's my experience with mine. With the Wave trac the light still blinks when it senses wheel spin but it doesn't short shift.

Yep, not getting enough traction will do you in every time. I raced 6 times last night and was only able to hookup once for a 11.91 @ 115.2 run in the 1/4. My 17" Mickey Thompsons spun all over the place. I really wish they would prep the tracks better.
