So, what were you running against? I mean, what did the other guy have under the hood against you, Jim?

 

Not sure, but it wasn't enough to keep up with me.it was a GT and he had work done to it because he running low 121 mph so he should've been running mid to low 11's at that speed. my two runs before that were 11.36 @ 125.29 and 11.37 @ 125.18 jim

PS. I forgot to tell you the temp was 92 and the track was 105 degrees.

nothing to brag about and I am no where near your territory anywhere on the slip but I had alot of fun.
With my
R/T = .911
60' = 2.305
Still managed to be in the 12's. With full stereo, street tires, cooler, and my 1st time on a track.

Next time I will not be using the carbonfiber hood since it scares the heck out of me and we will try again. Maybe I will take the cooler out too!

 

Beaner,that's great,, and as long as you have fun doing it go for it ,your times will come down as soon as you get more practice. I am curious at what the V8 would do without any mods, have you thought about a trip to Florida, our drag strip is open in the wintertime. I went back and looked when I was on street tires in the beginning like a year ago and I was running low 12's high 11's so you are in the ball park. keep us posted.
