Default Last Autocross run of 2013

Had the opportunity to get a Pro-SOLO driver to ride along for a few runs. He really knew his stuff and gave me some great points. This is one of my last runs of the day.

Front tires are almost down to the cords, but still gripping OK -- you can hear them slipping some in the video.

Nice run. Looks like a lot of fun.
What exhaust mods do you have? Car sounds great and I don't hear any SC whine. Is the exhaust sound overpowering the SC maybe.

Run looked very good, using a lot of the track too, I wish our runs down here where more like that, higher speed, longer course.. were lucky to get 35 second courses down here.
Anybody find a way to get any larger then a 245 on the front without rolling the fenders? We've had a 285/30 on there but the fenders would definitely crash right down on a hard corner.

NA not SC XFire, you see me shift from 1st to 2nd at the 7 sec mark. For exhaust, I had a straight pipe fabricated and usually just install it the day before a race and put the stock system on the next day. I did enjoy keeping the straight pipe on all summer this year and I really enjoyed it. Not too loud below 2K rpms, but has a nice growl through the mid range, and then tapers off above 4.5K.

WRT tires, 245-35-18 is about the max for up front. I ran 245-40-18's for 1 season and rubbed the inner fender well. I'm going to try 255-35-18's next year, but have the 245's waiting in the wings in case I have contact. Also, I got some MB SL550 wheels (18X9.5) for the rear end for next season. Hoping for more contact patch and torque.

I've used 255/35/18 on the front with a 30 offset and it fits. (Hankook RS-3) I was polishing the screws that the clips use to hold the outside of the fender liner in place so I rolled the fenders a little. I'd say there was a credit card of clearance to the suspension bolt so I filed it for safety but I don't think it was necessary. I was at -2.4º negative camber and if you have less the fender might be more of a problem. I doubt a 255 Hoosier would fit.
