Another autocross video from my Crossfire in FS at River City Community Church with SASCA.

Looks like a lot of fun!
I hope to go autocross this spring with my Father-in-Law. He is 77 and has a Boxster, and I will take my SLK. He ran SCCA Formula Vee until he was 70. I only ran autocross twice, one in his Formula Vee, and once in my 1986 Shelby Charger Turbo. I had a blast both times.

Maybe it is easier when you get out there but I cannot see how you know where to go. I guess you lose points for being lost and stopping to ask directions.
Typically I think you have time in the morning and walk the course to learn it. And the cone placement has standards for indicating where to go as well. Look how some lay down as pointers. Then you make several runs, hoping to learn each time and go faster.
There is usually about 1.5 hours to walk the course before the runs begin. I try to walk the course at least four times, make a map of the course, study it between walks, and memorize the location of the most important cones in each sweeper and slalom. Of course, it looks different at speed. I need to be closer to the cones in the sweepers and go faster in the fast portions of the course, such as the long slalom on the back side of this course. It is a lot of fun!
Thanks guys, L think there might be a few new pointers by the time I have gone through.
