Default Under da hood

I have a non SRT. I have seen photos of under hood dress up items. I really like the benz valve covers and was wondering if they are made for the non super charged engine.

Anybody care to post pic's of their decked out engine. I wanna spend some money dressing this beast up.

Thanks in advance.

Fred

Fred, I think you mean air cleaner. There are two ways to do this. 1) replace the existing air cleaner with MB PN 1120900501. 2) Do a performance upgrade with a 74mm throttle body & a 2 piece air cleaner. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ttle-body.html

Here's Red Runner's suggestion on my car.
MB PN 1120900501 without the 74mm throttle body upgrade.
This is unbelievably simple. This cover came ready to go
with two new filter elements installed.

Some of the engine covers that look like this sit too high and rub against the hood liner which makes black rub marks on the cover. You have to be sure you get the correct part.

The MB PN 1120900501 is the correct air cleaner for our stock NA XF's. I purchased mine from Mercedes Parts Center, Merriam, KS 66203 for $185 plus $16 shipping in Dec 15. The air cleaner comes with two A 112 094 03 04 air filters included. Yes, this one fits perfectly with no modifications.

Agreed on the part number and perfect fit, but here it is for $72.57 USD plus shipping. It also
comes with 2 new A1120940304 elements installed. Brand new still in the Mercedes box.

I am answering a post that is a bit old but where does it say it comes with a set of filters? Also that engine cover is a two piece assembly, the front half unclips from the main body. The front half fits some V8 engines using a different rear half.
The number given is for the rear half of the cover only as far as I know. Back in the day people purchased that part and it came without the nose piece.
If I am wrong then I will correct the .pdf I did, shown in post#2 of this thread.
I would imagine that the filters alone would cost $50.

The hole in the cover has nothing to do with the throttle, the cover fits to the outside diameter of the MAF housing.
See the .pdf in post #2 of this thread.

As far as I remember the standard intakes fit inside the new cover. They get a bit crumpled. That is why it is better to use the tubes mentioned in the .pdf on the subject.

onehundred80 or somebody, can you measure diameter intake to Merc air box? Diameter is the same like Crossfire or not?
Or pipes are longer or shorter?
I need to know becouse in my country price used air box is similar to 2 pipes
If old pipes fit to new air box and this is looks ok I will not buy new pipes.

In my post above I state that the Crossfire pipes fit inside the new box intakes.
The pipes get a bit squashed. I would fix all your other problems before you do this mod as it is only cosmetic and a waste of money when other problems exist.

What do you mean "a bit squashed" ?
Can you explain or show me?
I know that this mod is only for cosmetic but it very cool

The end of the pipe is curled up and that is what is squeezed into the hole and it is bent a little.
I have not got that car anymore.

Kamilspider, If you are using the MB PN 1120900501 air cleaner on a stock NA XF. The OEM inlet tubes fit the air cleaner. The only time there would be a problem is if you do the throttle body mod then you would not be using this air cleaner. This air cleaner is a perfect fit.
