Hi everyone lm a newbie to crossfires just trying to get a couple glitches figured out on my new to me ride (2004 coup).....my odometer ,clock, temp stays on even when my key is off ....how do l turn them off? l played around with the two ***** on cluster they went off .....then when l reset trip odometer they stayed on again. ....what am l doing wrong ....l dont have a owners manual. ... ideas anyone .
I get the idea from your post that you expect the displays to go out right away - I've never timed it but I THINK the timeout is about 30 seconds. If they NEVER go out, I would think most likely that you have a bad door or liftgate/trunk switch.
Oh, and there is a switch in the ignition that senses a key is present. I've never paid attention, but I THINK that if you do not remove the key, the display stays on as well. But I'm not SURE about that. My car is 450 miles from me so I can't go test that right now................
Perhaps part of my problem is that my doom light also doesn't work......could it be that car thinks door is never opened. ...also my remote will not open doors ....this is how l got car .....you think all these issues are related??
Yes, most likely related.
Have you checked all the fuses ?
Check the signals from the door switches.
( not easy, either at the seat relay or the CLPM ) :

Dome light problem could be that the switch on the dome light is in the OFF position, it has two positions.
The door problem could be the pump in the trunk has got wet and has given up the ghost. It controls a lot of items and controls the dome light OFF. The lights going off when you stop the car etc. So it too might be the source of your dome light problem and the odometer trouble.
Also a leak in the air lines somewhere will stop the door locks from operating.
