Excuse the butting in.....

If any of you would be so good as to check a car out for me this weekend (inspect and drive it, that is) please PM me. It's at a dealer just outside the outer loop to the southwest of the city.

(05 Roadster 6 speed stick)

Thank you

OK, being the Marine I am, Carmela and I went on a recon mission yesterday. That Upper Deck Restaurant has new owners and is now called Grampy Larry's. It is on 1097 halfway between SH 149 and I 45. They have a covered outside deck over looking the lake. It has a basic menu of burgers, chicken, fried shrimp, fish, house salad, shrimp salad, etc. Prices and food are good. Service is a bit slow and it is little noisy. Over-all as a place to get some inexpensive food with drinks and enjoy the sunset, I would rate it a 6 out of 10. In fact yesterday, they gave everyone a free shot to celebrate the sunset. If this is still OK for everyone let me know. If not, all suggestions are welcomed. If OK, I would suggest we meet in the parking lot on SH249 and Spring Cypress by Wolfies around 6PM. We would then take 249 to 149 to 1097. Going home, people could continue to head East on 1097 to I45 and head home.

Let's shoot for Saturday the 14th. What do y'all think?

Sounds like 3 cars definite so far. Nathan, are you in? How about you Noles? I know there are a lot more people from the Houston area. Plenty of time to plan so no excuses.

Yeah I'm in for sure. Good work on the recon mission. The plan sounds good to me. It looks like the usual suspects so far but hopefully we can get some more cars to go. I have been seeing a lot of crossfires latetly. Well maybe not a lot but more than normal. I was thinking about ordering some business cards with the forums info to hand out or leave on crossfires. Everytime I meet a new owner they sound interested but must have a hard time remembering the website. I don't need a entire box so was going to hand some out to everyone to pass along. What do yall think?

Sounds good. Looks like we have 4 cars now, I bet a few more will join. Remember coffee and cars tomorrow. I normally park to the right of the main entrance off the 610.

OK,

There are a few people who would like to come if it was earlier. It does not matter to me, so I will go with the majority.

Please let me know what works best for you:

Meet 11:00 for arrival at restaurant at 12? (Lunch)

Or stick with the 6:00 PM and arrive at restaurant at 7? (Dinner)

Please let me know.

I will post the final time after this weekend.

Don't forget Coffee and Cars tomorrow!

I would rather have more cars go so I'm ok with lunch. I'll stop by the cars & cofee tomorrow for the first hour on my way to work.

You could count us in for the early one. Count us out for the late one, but don't let us determine the time, whatever you guys prefer. We would like to
go, but the later time does not suit us. Whatever, I hope you guys have a pleasent time. TerryR

Looks like the early run has it.....Let's plan to meet in the parking lot on the East side of SH249 and Spring Cypress Rd. near Wolfies at 11 AM this Saturday. Once everyone arrives we will depart for Lake Conroe.

See y'all then!
