I’ve had my ‘05 convertible for two years here in Austin and never have made contact with another Crossfire except for a random meeting and wave at a traffic light in Cedar Park, TX.

I saw the photo of your new white Crossfire that you got for $2000. It’s a beauty!

WE in Dalla/Fort Worth got together last summer for a great tech day. We plan one for maybe October, when it cools off, if you want to come up!

I've lived here a year. There are NO good fun driving roads in the entire state that I know of. For me, the June meet in Arkansas is about my only reason to own the car.
I've been to Waco, nice little town. But again, there are no good fun roads in Texas. I"m only here for my job, I am too close to retirement to walk away, so when they moved us, I passed on the severance and came west of the great river, to where fun driving roads do not exist outside of Arkansas. When I retire, I'll be moving back to Georgia.

Hey I’m in Oklahoma and we have a beautiful place to drive called Talihina Drive in southeast Oklahoma. It’d be nice to get some of the Texas and Oklahoma people together and plan a nice trip down there. Heck anybody in the region that would want to go would be awesome. Just a thought.

I’ll have to check it out some day. I’m only a couple hours S of the OK border on I-45.

I'm in Austin but haven't had to take my Crossfire to anyone for anything except the yearly inspection. I'm trying to do everything on it myself. I've had my Crossfire for three years.
I've talked to the guys at Austin Auto Techs about future help and they are willing. I've used them for all of my other vehicles for over 15 years. Very honest. The same guys have been there the entire time. They aren't dedicated Mercedes mechanics, but they're willing to listen to what you think needs to be done and will work with you. You can talk/email to Mike or Hugh or Brian. Austin Auto Techs Auto Repair Texas I don't know how good they would be about diagnosing some of the obscure/difficult things on the Crossfire. But if you do the majority of the diagnosing and point them to it, they might be able to do the heavy work for you.

Please let me know if you find someone close to Austin who knows as much as the folks here on this forum about the Crossfire!

I have a 2005 SRT and use Edgestone Automotive out on Hwy 290. They specialize in Mercedes and do great work on my SRT. They are not cheap but they do great work and stand by it.

Update: I went to Elite Auto (https://www.eliteimportauto.com/) and they did a great job. I chatted with the owner for a bit, he seemed to really know the beasts.
