I'm more than ready for another GTG with everyone and I don't have any problem planning it and coordinating with everyone who wants to attend. I've already started looking into a few things and I want to spend a bit more time searching for that Just Right Activity before we settle. I'm looking at Oct 13, Oct 27, or maybe Nov 10. As far as my schedule goes, Oct 13 is looking like the best date. I'm looking for some suggestions of what anyone might like to try and do for a group activity.
I'd like to use this thread as info gathering only!!! As soon as a date and events are picked, I'll start a new thread.
I know we have a lot of new members thru out Fla that we didn't have the first of the year. Right now we are only about 7-10 weeks from the above dates and that's not a lot of time to plan and coordinate everything so we need to get this started very soon. I know that a lot of members need several weeks to a month to make arrangements for work.

We could do the same as in March or we could plan something new. I need some thoughts, opinions, and suggestions.

for anybody traveling a great distance i have plenty of room at my house 20 mile from orlando.

 

I have a preference for the weekend of October 27 or Nov 10 (Happy Birthday RMA). It is after HS midterms and there are no cross country meets that weekend, no SAT's and there is a teachers planning day on Friday.

Last GTG in March, I really enjoyed the track experience. That would be excellent. Are there any other events going in the Orlando area? I know there is a Mopar event (Don Garlitis???) event around that time frame, but I don't remember the exact dates.

I think that we should have 30 plus Crossfires there this year. Maybe even a pretty yellow roadster that we haven't heard from for awhile will come in to Orlando.

 

There's an Oktoberfest Event in Avalon Park (right in the area down Alafaya) on Saturday, it's also family friendly. I know it's not the track but we could go to the track on Friday night which is a "Run what you brung" night.

The track stuff happens every Friday but the local event is only that night, if you go that site you can get a calendar of events for the month by clicking the date.

 

Hey Toy did you happen to ever get that video from the last gtg at Orlando Speedway on cd or online? I'd love to see it also I'd love to come down for another cruise in the future and see everyone again. I had a great time.

 

Sounds great - I'm new to the group (joined just a few weeks ago) and in SW Orlando. Just need to know when and where!

 

They didn't want us there last year...Sharon tried to set things up where we could show our cars and they turned us down.

 

Forget the SRT...bring the TVR.

 

I'm always up for a road trip! The weekend of the 13th (MSU Homing coming) will not be good for me but the other dates suggested work fine.

 

you can count me in...let me know the dates. i live in panama city and my parents live in cocoa beach. any date would be fine with me. just need at least 2 weeks notice. looking forward to it. what kind of things do you do at a meet and greet? never been to one but our baby's are so scarce and it would be cool to see a lot of them at once.

This is cool you are working on this...I will be at PennState University on a recruiting trip from the 10-14th. If you go at another time I will make the trip.
