I'm opening this up for conversation. The next Runday Sunday @ BMP is the 22nd. I'd like to get as many SRT's in the state of FL to come out and run their car. It won't be a private event but we'll all have plenty of time to get a lot of runs in. I got 6 runs in 4 hours and it was really busy last Saturday.

The event isn't only SRTs but I would like a majority of the Xfire's there to be SRT's.

$12 Gate admission
$15 Tech Card

It might seem a little pricey but it's well worth it since I think it's the best prepped track in the state. Moroso might be on par since they re-paved but it's remains to be seen. I'm hoping for about a dozen of us to try and make it out there but I'll settle with 5 anything less and it won't be that good of a comparison between the cars.

Roadsters can run with no problem (unlike Moroso), you just need a helmet.

This is a possibility, but I have to be in Daytona on Saturday for a track meet.

 

Wow, at least I have some time to think about this. I know the Orlando track was closed from Xmas through New Years and they re-prepped the track. Last week I was able to hook up very well and could possibly had my all time best if it weren't for the re-tune lowering my top end. I'll be out there again this Sunday to see if I can get off the line even harder. Bradenton sounds like a fun time. Can't wait to get another re-tune.

By the way Mike, did you get another re-tune after putting on the newer, lighter Code-3 pulley? I'm really impressed with how well your car is responding.

 

I havent received the new pulley yet, hopefully by the 22nd I'll have it installed.

 

Wow, and here I thought the awesome 12.2 was with the newer pulley! Oh baby!

 

And Gator still thinks he has the fastest Roadster. Hopefully I can make it, but very questionable.

 

That's ok...Just set the new record at your local track on street tires and post up for all to see...

 

Only thing is Randy can't make more than a coupole passes at Moroso before getting kicked off. At BMP or OSW they let you run as much as you want.

 

Not true! I can run all night. I just can't run faster then 13 .5. LOL

Just spoke to the wife. I might take Ashley's SRT to Daytona since my warranty is over in 1500 miles and we might try and come back Sunday the long way. Her XF has the same mods as mine, so it should run the same as mine.

Sure wish I had that HE.

 

Bumping this up if anyone is still interested. I'm still going (weather pending) and will be there early to take advantage of the cooler temps and hopefully lack of rain.

 

Mike this sounds interesting. I might possibly show up as a spectator? Haven't been to the drags since I was a kid.

I really dont want to post times cause they probably aren't accurate due to my stupidity. I realized today that I left my car in 'Winter' mode the whole time I was at the track. Even though I turned off the TC and slapped it into 1st I think it might have bogged the car down.

I turned it to Summer mode today and the car was much more livlier.

The times flip-flopped between 12.26 and 12.38, I wasnt very consistent but I knew there was something wrong when the car was getting into 4th gear sooner, now I know why.

I'm going again in a couple weeks with the kinks worked out of the exhaust and the new alluminum S/C pulley...maybe new tires as well
