I think we will have to go with a weekend date because most people will work during the week. If we set the date far enough out then people can take the day off if they choose. If we meet in Orlando & head out towards Mt. Dora there is a great driving road out there. Kind of like a mini-Dragon. There are also some great photo ops out there near the water & in the historic areas. Fantastic food & a great downtown area that will really love seeing our cars roll thru town. My other idea would be to see if Old Town might be interested in hosting us as a club. What do you guys think?

What are your thoughts on getting together at

Spice Modern Steakhouse
407 East Central Boulevard
Orlando, FL 32801407-481-9533

And then get a ride going. Where? I dunno...need help.
The good thing about this steakhouse is it's not too exspensive and they open @ 11AM on Saturday
And they are located right off of I-4

Mt Dora is NW of Orlando, but it is a great ride up there & an awesome historical town. Located right on a large lake that the town over looks. They do a lot of bike runs & festivals up that way. Something else cool might be when the new Bellagio hotel opens & take pictures in front of the dancing fountains. That will be in the fall though. I guess the big thing is that we need to decide if we want to do a drive, a lunch or both. We could also do a run out towards Merritt Island and take picture out near NASA. There are some great places to park our cars that would have the famous vehicle assembly building in the background. On the other coast is Cedar Key. Another quaint town with great seafood and a fantastic drive to get there.

Do you guys like any of these???

Sounds good I like the idea of lunch and ride just so we can stop and get to know everybody. I'm kind of leaning on May 9th only because it's far enough in advance and it's a Saturday. I honestly dont care where we go after just because it's time for some new pictures and to see the faces of the people when they see a huge (hopefully) group of Xfires go by.

I think Mt. Dora is a great idea. There is a park (Trimble park) on the lake about 10 minutes from downtown. 71 acres with picnic areas and clean rest rooms. What about a cook out? I can check into the cost of reserving a pavilion for us. Please let me know, I'm here to help.

Guys and Gal I live up here in Mt. Dora and it is a neat little town. If we do a weekend it will have to be a sunday as I am not available on saturdays but let me know and I am open to meeting up.

I have a busy travel schedule in April but will try and work out a time that works for everyone!

I am trying to set up a meet in Georgia at a Vineyard. Would be great to have the group of Crossfires make the 2 hour drive to just outside Savannah (Sylvania GA). End with dinner and a wine tasting.

Let me know if I can work with you on making this happen.

That sounds nice, but it is actually 4.5 hrs for the Central FL people & more for the S.FL people. You will be more than welcome to join our GTG - get the long distance award!

Yeah that would be nice for NEFL people. I've been to Savannah plenty of times. You want to talk about a beautiful place to take some group photos, that would be it.

Deb, once I get mine, I'm sure to want to head that way. I love wine and vineyards.

I should have said May 9th, it's the weekend and it works best for most people. I vote for May 9th. Sorry for earlier reply.

Good morning! It's looking good for the 9th. I have put a call into the park about reserving a pavilion for the day. The park is open from 8:00am until 7:45pm. I'll stay in touch. Tim
