I just put a tenative reservation on the best pavillion by the water at the park. We can get it all day for $50.00. I'll just wait for some feedback and take care of it next week if everyone wants to proceed for May 9th.

 

I think we are a go for the 9th!! There is a road about 30 min from downtown Mt. Dora that is like a mini-Dragon. Its called Boy Scout Rd & it is a fun little drive. There are also some neat back roads out that way. My only concern with our GTG is parking. Tim - do you know if they can reserve us parking too? Obviously we want the cars together for the pics!!!

There should be plenty of parking. There are a number of areas where we could stage the cars for pics. There is also a neat ride between Rock Springs Road and 46 on Mt.Plymoth. Then we could take 46 north back to Mount Dora and the park. The address for the park is 5802 Trimble Park Road Mount Dora, FL 32757.

 

Is 9 the best we can do??? We have over 100 members in FL ....

I can arrange for some help cooking at the park and do a semi catered gig. Burgers, dogs, chicken, drinks and the fixins for about $8-$10 per person. That way it would be taken care of and no one would need to bring anything for lunch. What does everyone think?

 

I like that idea a lot. If we went out for lunch, we would be paying that much anyway. And, I don't have to worry about shopping and bringing stuff down.

That definitely gets my vote.

 

We (both SRT's) are talking about coming on up. Lunch sounds good and gets my vote.

Good monday everyone!
I am thinking that I will front the funds and work out the money the day of the event. ($8-$10 per person) I thinking burgers, dogs, chicken on the grill with some sides and drinks. Does that sound ok? Of course if you want to bring something to throw on the grill you are welcome... It should cover the food, drinks, paper products and pavilion. We will need to start a head count soon. I am planning to go over to the park this Wednesday (April 1st) if anyone is interested in checking it out with me. Tim
