Is the battery an original? Can you test the battery voltage while the car is off and running.

Do you have a coupe or a roadster? If its a roadster, could it be a warning that your top is not latched? A bad sensor for the top that fails a few minutes into the drive?

Also, your glove box is installed on the wrong side of your car

My old c230 had a similar problem, something was beeping/buzzing really loud on random times. Sound went down by time at the end, it was just noticeable if i open the hood....and almost disappeared few weeks later...I think it was the siren for the alarm. I think there is another battery in the alarm siren and it needs to be replaced after so many years...I dont know if it is your scenerio also..good luck.

In your posted video there is a light ON in your instrument cluster. Is this the bulb out indicator?

I also noticed that the gear display showed D, like it thought you were still in Drive for some reason.

To me it sounds like the reverse sensor system is screwing up. The double beep when you first turn the key on, is that a normal thing on your car? It definitely is not a factory installed beeping emitter that is making that noise. Try disabling the reverse sensor system and see if the noise goes away.

Hi

I had been out to video the noise and it never happened so returned home, as i got 10 meters from the drive it went off so quickly did the video hence why is in drive

the double bleeb is because i am turning on and off the ignition

no hazard lights associate with this alarm

nothing like the sound of reversing alarms

Hi,

is the bleep the same sound you get when you open the door with headlights on, or is the sound (frequency) different?
Does the bleep come from the instrument cluster?
Did the bleep ever come on with headlights/lights off?

Regards
Markus

Yesterday i jet washed (gently) under the bonnet and the noise only happened 5-6 times yesterday. Its NOT happened once today?

Hi,

i'm not talking about the sound from the parking sensors, i'm talking about the alarm sound you get when the door is open and the headlights are on.

If the sound ist louder than the sound from the headlights on and door open this is the engine warning sound which comes from the instrument cluster. Normally you get this sound if your'e low on oil pressure. If everything is OK ith your engine and compressor you should check the wiring diagrams and oil pressure sensors and connections to them.

Regards
Markus

Hi Markus

this only happens after driving some time and after using the kick down

IT IS the loudest off all beeps/alarms associated with this car it DOES come from instrument panel IE behind speedo

there are NO warning lights symbols with the beep??????

just has a service oil looks very full ( top of plastic ) and as clean as a whistle

regards
