Lambo doors on the convertible
Hey guys,
I am buying a Convertible crossfire as soon as my house is done...damn priorities.
Do you happen to know if you can put lambo doors on the convertible? My guess is no because of the way the top meets the top of the windows, and it might leak, am I right? Or have you seen this done?

Depends on the door kit that you purchase, and who you trust to put it in for you. I have been toying with this idea for quite awhile. There also maybe "Warranty Issues" because of the side airbags, this was told to my by a DChrysler Rep a few months back.
I have to imagine a reputable shop could easily make this work with side airbags, I have seen some good custom shops do this with expensive Porsches and Mercedes. I have to assume that discriminating owners and high end custom shops would do a good job.
I used to love in Southern California and I knew some great shops, but I just moved to St. Louis, so I will be searching around. From what I see, the hinges are around a grand, I imagine the labor is around $500 - $1,000.

Yes you can make the side air bags work but...
Know one will guarantee them as it is a liability.
If you are not worried about your warranty you should be just fine.
Do lots of research first, all kits are not created equal and if you don't have the know how, find a good shop to do it that stands behind their work.

I'm not really concerned about the warranty because I will be buying one with enough miles that it would be soon after expiring anyways.
I am good with cars, body, etc but this is something I definitely willing to pay someone to do. There are enough intricate alignments that would need to go on.
