If anybody's looking for one of these, check the For Sale section. I'd like to just get what I paid for it.
Yes indeed, I tried to use it during many races last season, but it was too "skiddish" for proper throttle manipulation... I gave it one last chance this weekend and removed it after my first practice session on Saturday... Same goes for me, mine is available for sale...

Shoot... you guys are something else! You could not bring these revelations forward when I was trying to buy a SB! You could have saved me $50. !

I still love mine... but $50 bucks is $50 Bucks!

Ain't this a gas! After all that I went through to get this damn thing, several people are now trying to get rid of it! If it was not for "No Luck", I'd have no luck at all!

I just got mine today and I like mine so far. It really makes a difference in acceleration. The only problem is I couldn't remove my pedal all the way. I was able to swing it sideways though.

danielNTX did you remove the washer? not exactly sure how it holds it in, but it wont come off if the washer is still around the bolt.

Yeah I got the washer out, but when I tried to remove the whole pedal the top of it wouldn't come out. Like it was attached to something on the top and no matter how I wiggled I couldn't get it to come out of whatever it was hooked on.

just remove the kick panel near the gas pedal assembly, its the piece with the A/C venting. its very easy to do, and you won't break your back trying to remove those nuts holding down the pedal, save your fingers lol.

I'm with maxwell on this one. Taking out the two screws that hold the side panel from the center console make this job a 5 minute job.

Yep, taking out the side panel, you can get to the plug on the pedal and unplug it.

After having the Sprint Booster for 10 months, I took it out and sold it, and boy do I ever miss it!
I feel like I have to floor the this thing to get it moving now...and you DO have to floor it to get it to down shift to make a pass,
where before I could just ease into the pedal, and it would down shift and go!

Its a good thing I'm turning in the car Friday, because its just not as fun to drive now, stock that is.

Now that I've have had the SB, and the SI ECU Upgrade I'd never go back! It's just too much fun!

Maybe it's just me...but I have a manual tranny...what is this thing gonna do for me? I mean I can poke the throttle and the engine jumps to 3,000 RPM and i dump the clutch and floor it! I don't feel any throttle lag with a stick? What am I not understanding?

Autosticks don't have the luxury of revving the engine prior to engaging the drive gears. Thus, MB in all it's wisdom decided that "that's not what the driver really intended" and created throttle memory. BAD DECISION ON MB.

I hope it (throttle memory) can be turned off. After all - we are not flying a $125 million fighter jet that must combat improper aerodynamic inputs from a 25 year old, hormone induced pilot. (Or are we?)

In a nut shell, with the sprint booster you only need to "poke the throttle" 1/10th to get the engine to "jump to 3,000"... Maybe this will help explain... This is an example only !

Without the Sprint Booster you would have to push the throttle this distance to reach 3,000 RPM

IDLE >[--------------------------]< 3,000 RPM

With the Sprint Booster you would have to push the pedal this much to reach 3,000 RPM

IDLE >[------]< 3,000 RPM

Make sense ?

Umm. That's now how i see it. You get the same throttle for the distance, but it just starts moving faster. It just reaches 3,000 faster since there is no lag, and you can let go of the peddle earlier because it gets there that much faster.

[Idle]---LAG---[takeoff]---[3,000 RPM]
with SB

[Idle][takeoff]---[3,000 RPM]

This was my experience exactly with the 6-speed.

The effect of the sprint booster on the crossfire with a manual transmission is no different that 1/4 throttle devices. The lag is only perceived because your foot has to travel farther to achieve the same amount of throttle without the SB.

I'm sure the effect is totally different for an automatic.

I see...so if I spend $300 or so dollars it saves me the inconvenience of having to move my foot a half inch further! No offense but I think I'll risk the wear and tear on my ankle!

if you have to get the SB for your 6 speed, get the automatic version.
