Gt Factory Lambo Door Installation!!! Tri-state Area!!! Help Me!!!
I am looking for an reliable but cost efficient customize body shop that doors work like this. I already have GT Factory Diablo Kit but the prices I have received for installation seem unreasonable. If I cannot get it installed then i will just sell the kit. I would prefer installation however. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
You may want to PM ichon to see where he had his done. I saw him in PA at the All-Chrysler Nationals and whoever installed his did a very good job. He is from the MD area. Good luck, they are pretty awesome.
dolfanjim, you might want to resell that GT Doors kit on Fleabay.
Most of the vertical door users on this board use LSD Doors. Even CTD Germany sells their kit. AFAIK, no welding ... just bolting, rewiring and changing out the windshield washer fluid bottle. Many happy users and photo guide on install.

I know 2 people that have LSD doors on the Crossfire and another one that has it on a Civic. Very flimsy at best and the whole point of getting them was to avoid having to open the door all the way to get out without having to park a mile away in an empty space. The angle of the doors is not good enough.... If you are close to another car you still have the issue getting out of it.
I saw a crossfire in AZ that had the GT doors. They worked great and he had a custom boot cover for the wires. He covered the hing with it and who cares if you see it or not.
And yes... I know the post is fro 2006.
But thanks.

i reckon, even though it is only my reckoning, that although they are played out, theyt are still extremely cool. but you have to have the bling car to go with them.

I am still looking into getting these. Anyone who has had them please send me a PM about your experiences with the ones that you decided to buy. It is worth it for me just so I can get out of the car in a parking lot without having to climb over the back of the seat.

As a seasoned citizen with bum legs, I find the doors a Godsend. I had been "locked" out of my car many times when in a parking lot. The idiots next to me would pull over the line and I could only open the door to the first detent. Also being slightly rotund, it was impossible for me to get in (maybe I could climb over in a roadster) to my coupe.
Even when I could open the door beyond the first detent, I found myself often kicking the speaker grille. Now the area by my feet is open and I just swing around in my seat and step out.
I went with Vertical Doors because;
1) they own the patent on the "out and up" design.
2) They are US made with a lifetime warranty
3) They are bolt on (the OEM door hinges can be replaced if you want)
4) If you are small enough you can get in at the first detent without lifting
5) They include a modified washer bottle (with some weld ons you lose it)
6) They gave me a great deal
7) They look awesome on the car
8) Did I mention "medical" reasons?
If you are interested in a set (they are specific for the Crossfire) you can order through me (this is not a profit item) or deal directly with them. I can get them for you for right at $1K. You can check the price on their website and see that is a great buy.
They include directions and if you are handy with body work, you can install them yourself. Otherwise you can find a place that will do them for you. On the other hand, if you are in SoCal (or planning a trip) you can have them installed right at the factory in Corona, California.
Here is the website with pictures of my car plus a couple others
