Just wondering if anyone here is familiar with the DRB III scan tool?

Any idea where I can purchase one of these?

Appears to be a diagnostic scanner used by Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealers.

The various memory cards plug in for individual vehicles.

 

well what can I do with the DRBIII? what are the capabilities of it?

 

It appears to be the diagnostic computer to read the error codes. The individual memory cards are for each model. If you plan to open a garage or dealership this is the tool for you...otherwise save your money for other goodies.

 

The DRBIII has some very valuable functions if you're working on your own car, or plan on engine mods. It will read/ID/reset codes. It will also allow you limited access to the ECU/FMS computers to read engine parameters/diagnose problems and reflash software and do some programming mods.

The downside is the damned thing cost nearly $8,000, or you can rent one from the manufacturer for a mere $1,500 per week.
