Oh man, I don't know what to say, looks like a mess. Found it on 350Z forum.

450 horsepower!!! I don't think the NA motor would last 6 months with that kinda smoke, just a tad overkill there...lol.
So how did it turn out, have they finished the car yet or what?

i know the person that did that system ... its not a mess, it is just not back together in that picture + there is not much room to work with there... the red coating is a wrinkle coat and can be found under the hood of many many high performance cars ...

where do you see something that will make plastic melt ? the turbo has the hot sides ceramic coated which reduces the under hood temps to lower than stock temperatures...

perhaps this is not the best subject for you to be making comments on ... i am not sure what your experience custom building turbo systems is but it does not sound very far reaching ...

the only part of that car that was not done right is the tube and fin intercoolers but since speedmax was part of the sponsorship, their product had to be used... they should of been bar and plate greddy cores but he could not convince them. oh well, customer gets what customer wants but overall, the builder of this system is top notch and is making some pretty nice custom choppers as well. i know him very well as he welded my exhaust system up on the last turbo kit i built and have shared my work with him and his shop in that past.

You would think that they would make their own intake manifold, since it's boosted, by twin turbos, there really is no need for the variable manifold anymore...

But I do like the fact that some is out there doing odd stuff like this with the XF. Good luck to them, I hope it works out well!

I can imagine what the cost will be if they do come out with a kit. It certainly won't be a weekend project.

agreed, it would make routing much more efficient... wonder why the company skimped on that cost... fortunately the magnesium manifold is not too shabby in itself even if a bit useless since it will not take advantage of the intake harmonics it was designed for...

there won't be a kit, too low volume too high cost + 99% of crossfire owners are rather cheap (or at least thats what most explain it as, i say they are smart with their money and invest it rather than waste it on something like this... they do not have this kind of money as "spare" cash)... this is a exotic looking car that sold for the price of a civic... you can make more money making stuff for EVOs and STIs which sold for 30k new and fetch 25k after being used and abused for 2 years... strange to say the least.
