Looking in to buying, hard first gear?
Hi all, I'm hoping to join the Crossfire community and have been looking at a white 2004 with 31k miles for $18k.
The car feels good when test driving, but pushing it in to first gear is very hard and doesn't feel half like shifting in to any of the other gears, is this normal and will it be okay? Also when at idle I try to lift up the rear spoiler, and goes and stops about 3 times before fully deploying, but when I retract it, it comes back down smoothly without stopping, is this normal?
Thanks.

Are you dead set on buying a white one? Or a stick?
I saw a 2005 Aero Blue Limited Automatic for $22k on ebay, it was brand new (200 miles?).
I'm not sure about sticks, since mine is an automatic. But if you idle and you try to deploy the spoiler, it should stop, but only for less then a second and it'll continue to go up.
You can even get an SRT-6 for 24-26k now. Sheesh.
I'm not sure what your budget is, but it doesn't sound like you're getting a steal. It's a good deal, but nothing to die over. If you just wait a little bit, i'm sure you can get one hell of a deal, especially with winter coming up.

manually moving the spoiler up and down is a bit goofy, if you deploy it just tap the spoiler button a couple times to change the angle, and if you want it closed hold the spoiler button for 7 sec, until it beeps. and if your rolling above 58 mph you can't close it until about 55 mph, otherwise just pop out the spoiler fuse if it bothers you.
