Centre Console??
Hi All,
I'm just about to purchase a 2004 Xfire but i have a minor question regarding the centre console...
Can you get an aftermarket kit to replace the silver plastic? As my personal view it lets the whole classy look of the car down!!
Any Suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

yes, there is only 1 edition for 2004 crossfires, the coupe. there is no base or limited, its just the standard, but it has all the features of the '05 limited.
and yes i have the trim.

There is a company in Germany that has the best looking carbon fibre pieces for the dash I have seen. Most of the kits just lay on top of the console/center-stack and leave the silver trim around the edges. This kit wraps around the edges. They show it in a red finish but claim it is available in black or silver carbon fibre finish.

You can also do a search on ebay for other styles.

there is an original replacement available - ask your local dealer - it has the look of deep black carbon-fiber (never seen it in real but may go for it). Here is the link (though a german page): http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/m...bs?ext_index=0 so you can see some pics of this set. Alternatively i've talked to the guy who did several paint-jobs for me and he said it´s possible to paint it if the right paint is used. I plan to either replace mine with the original replacement of have the silver one painted in black japan (glossy black as seen on pianos).
