Default Start Engine button...

I seen this on You Tube, is the Start Engine button an option you could have gotten with the XF, or did this guy custom install one. Either way, it is cool and I've gotta get one.

If he was really smart he would have wired up the emergency triangle into a start engine button, now that would be cool and stealthy.

Excellent suggestion, but probably lacks the bling factor the guy was looking for.

Regardless of the "Bling" factor, using the Hazard button could cause a problem. What if, in an unfortunate situation, you are needing to use your Hazards, then what?

Shouldn't be too hard of a mod to do. I don't really see the point myself since you have to use a key and turn it anyway - and then press the button (like in the s2000).

had this one in my Miata... not sure if this kit comes with a relay, but you'll need one.

Looks easy enough to install, thanks for the info. On your Miata, were you still able to start the car by turning the key, or does this disable the car from being started with a key?

Yeah but you still have to put the key and turn, thats corny. If it were just a button then we'd be talkin.

If you convert your hazard button into a "start button", then you need to convert the "unlock door" switch to a hazard button. Then convert...

Or you can get that big red "GO" button from Staples and stick it on the top of the dashboard. It makes a dandy anti-theft deterrent, too.
