Whistle sound from under the glove box...Please help
All,
I have an 04' coupe that I recently purchased. I have had this strange high pitch whistle noise from right under the passenger side glove box. This only occurs when I turn on the AC and immediately after I turn it off. Does anyone know what assembly is under the glove box? Or what might be causing this? It appears there might be a filter of sorts that is not sealed that might be causing the high pitch sound.
Please help.

Under the glove box there is the cabin air filter.
Check that out - do a search on replacing cabin air filter.
It's your lucky day...

hey
i'm new to this form and i would like to tell you that i have a whistle like sound from my glove compartment also. it just started at 36800 miles. at first it was like a cell phone bippp and then would be louder and the would stay on for a sec or two. please let me know if your car stoped whistleing because it drives me crazy.

Check out the cabin air filter for starters. That's the easiest (and cheapest) replacement. It could be the blower motor as well.
Thanks will do. It does stop when I click the cold air button off with the A/C on....
