Is Lantana still alive? I'm really putting off buying this SRT-6 because I'd rather keep my roadster but I definetley need more power.

LOL. Such a funny thought robbing a little neon of its power plant but in truth thats not a bad idea. Turn it longways and put an aftermarket turbo...it would probably be lighter with more space in the engine bay. Damn im starting to actually envision it...must get back to work and find something to do.

Easy 425-450whp = done!

Hey guys, I am still here. I have been working hard and saving up for worst case senarios. I am now going to get back into this. I still have a little more prework to do before exchanging the enigines. I am now thinking of trailiering the car to Beckamn technologies in Durham NC for the computer work once the mechanical work is done. He swears he can do this and my local guy is being too evasivel about costs and how long he will need the car. I going to contact Beckman tomorrow and see what he wants to program the car.

A V12 would be great! But there is barely enough room for the length of the V8. One of the hardest things I had to work out was cooling fans. I had to find the thinest and most powerful I could find. If you open your hood and then imagine the front of the engine moving about 4 inches forward you will see there is very little space left. I wonder what the length of the V12 is?

I would also just giggle to know that I had that bi-turbo'd twelve in my car, sheesh, probably too heavy though. I can't imagine the thought of two side by side inline six's under the bonnet. I wouldn't imagine that it would fit without some serious modifications to body/frame. Although, with a longer nose, she would look more like the SLR

Very very exciting thread!! keep up the good work and good luck with everything, i will be checking back to see how it is all going! In all honesty they really should have put the V8 in initially, but with you paving the way, maybe we all can remedy that one crossfire at a time

The V8 Engine Swap and the SRT6 Engine swap both seem to be dead players....

Jody, The engine is in. The gearbox, flywheel, clutch mated perfectly with the bell housing swap. I'm working on the plumbing for the iced IC system, wiring for all the eletrical since the OEM is useless now, and waiting for VRP's headers and the Schrick AMG cams to arrive, then it's getting trailered to MOTEC East in Charlotte for the new computer. AND YES, I'm building a IMSA style ground effects kit out of fiberglass, front, rear and rocker panels... It's in mock-up now and will just bolt-up to the existing fascia pieces when finished.

PS: I have lowered the car by cutting the Eibachs 3/4 of a coil, removing the perch pads and modifying the wheel wells for clearance. The car is about 3" lower than OEM

Looks sweet.
Are you still able to use the existing hood - lookes like 2 air filters may be too high?
