W / S switch on the '06 AutoStick
Hey folks, I tried using search but didn't get far. I seem to recall while just surfing around here (or somewhere) that the W / S switch on the 5-speed Auto is "Winter" and "Summer".
But what exactly does it mean ... Or more to the point, what exactly is the difference(s) in the "W" and "S" position.
Thanks in advance - I should get my owner's manual soon (ordered on eBay), so the silly questions should be short-lived. :-)

yep the "W" stands for winter or wet and it starts off in second gear to reduce slipping In addition, it uses a special higher geared reverse (we actually have two reverse gears) while the "S" stands for standard as in normal operation. starting off in first gear and using the normal lower geared reverse.
