5-spd Autostick Question
Has anyone had the problem of having their autostick "lock" in park, requiring use of a probe to release the selector? The first time this happened to mine, I was quite startled as I'd had the car only a week. I finally found information in the owner's manual about how one may release the selector by inserting a probe thru a little access hole to the left of the selector.
For over a month, I never had the problem again. Now it's hanging up every time I start the car. I am planning to take it in to the dealer, but I'm just curious whether anyone else experienced this same problem. The only other symptom of something maybe not quite right is the ABS/ESP WARNING LAMP ON MY DASH.
Your thoughts and experience would be appreciated.
