Oil trap installed pic?
Does anyone have a pic of the oil trap set up installed on their car? I have a non-AMG. Where is the pcv valve. I tried to find it quickly but I didn't see anything that looked familiar on the engine. Thanks.

This reminds me of a thread on the Chrysler Intrepid page, their solution to sucking engine vapours into the intake track, was to install a small bottle in the line, I forget the make but it has an in & out line on the top almost like the ones on a compressor, there are plenty of pictures of the amount of oil collected and kept from dirtying up the intake.
We used to have an 93 Topaz V6 that sucked oil into the intake, it required reqular cleaning, never could fix it up, but the car ran better when cleaned
Perhaps an "oil trap" could help our cars

I still didn't see a PCV valve in those diagrams. If there isn't one then no wonder we are getting oil into the chamber. Where are the usual motorheads on this forum that have all the answers? They haven't chimed in on this.

As explained to me at Woodward, our cars do not have a pcv valve, but a pcv system. It works the same way, but our engines/ecm must be able to compensate for the vacuum leak without the PCV valve.
Even with a PCV valve, you will suck oil, gas, and moisture vapors thru the system, that is what it is made for. The valve won't stop that.

I have installed one on my base roadster. I empty it every year when I change the oil. I've had a couple of ounces come out of the catch can that would have gone into my intake manifold.
Needswings.com sells the kit LINK- Oil Catch Can Kit and you get everything you need to install it.
Here's a post I did when I installed mine: LINK - Oil Catch Can Install
