Default Spraying Dry NOS on N/A limited

Done some searching and haven't found much on how much n2o this motor can take. If it can take a dry shot @ all (which it should). Any ecu/tuning required other than timing retarding and colder plugs etc? Looking to just do a CAI and around a 75 shot. Just clean daily driver that can hit some spray if needed . maybe exhaust if i can find something QUIET that makes best power fora good price. Thanks in advance for your help !

i know there was somebody a while back that was doing 70hp shot. he claimed thats the most you can do safely with the availible cpu mods. he was also running a pair of electric suppercharger thingies.

Realy!?

I am yet to find anyone running a dry shot. Ive done some google searches and several on here. I'm not very interested in those "electric superchargers" as much as if i can just hook up a UNIVERSAL dry shot kit and run a 70-75hp shot. Probably going to build a custom intake in the next few days now. Looking to mod the engine cover and keep that stock, along w/ a single pipe CAI. Wish me luck and any links on that guy running the dry shot would be helpful. Thanks again

Roland

Psuperti does have a wet kit.

I'm not sure how often he's on the site right now.......I think he might have gone back overseas, possibly Iraq or Afghanistan.

He's a member of the Armed Forces, protecting our right to own cars as cool as the Crossfire.

without much research into this, and the fact that we just don't have alot of tuning options(even though inmotion can do a nos flash on the esc i believe), i think the best nos setup would be a wet kit of 75-100hp and a seperate fuel cell running high octane race fuel for protection. on the other hand, i think the knock sensor is very sensitive on our cars an it just might protect its self on a small shot just fine. i'm not very educated on this hotrod stuff.

dry shot ? ... so what are you planning to do about fuel ? on demand fuel pressure riser or pulsewidth modulation (zex vs venom) ?

i don't understand why you would want a dry shot with their band aid solutions to fueling that are bound to leave you with a hole in your block. the fuel rails are in the open on top of the engine in Xf with the schrader test port nicely exposed .. $1 tire valve tool removes the valve from inside and you have a very nice -4AN fuel port to attach to your fuel solenoid on a good wet kit.

again... why risk it with a dry kit ? been there done that ... seen dry kits grenade engines left and right. they are simply not as reliable as wet kits.

there is room for argument that pulsewidth modulation and raising fuel pressure is a mroe precise way to deliver fuel equally than a wet kits fuel nozzle but in the end its a band aid that sometimes falls off... i'd sooner spend the money on a wet direct port kit than mess with a dry kit again. i can dial in a wet kit to precission in no time insetad in half the time.

i was just looking to prettu much tap into the intake w/ a 75-100 shot. If you could explain further this wet kit, that would be nice. I've never installed one. I can see why they would be more reliable, but i just didnt want to get THAT into the fuel system. But if you say its that easy then it might be an option. Enlighten me w/ a link or DIY on that wet kit install. Thanks again

don't run a dry shot in my opinion then you are relying on your injectors just go with a zex kit #82021 best kit for the car imo. and that is what i got, i am installing it tomorrow, just want to know if i need to do anything with timing to run a 75 shot or if the stock computer will pull timing automatically under spray, i know 55 shot requires 0 timing adjust. so i am fine with that i would just rather spray the 75. im sure 65 would be fine also without doing anything, with that wet kit it has fuel controller and nitrous controller that optimizes bottle pressure and never runs too lean or too ruch it will adjust itself basically to be the best it can. it is a great kit i used it before on my srt-4. you would be very happy with it. but someone let me know about the timing thing here if anyone has good knowledge about it, thanks

Send pics of the install and wat it requires. I thought a dry shot would be fine for stock computer n everything. its 6 cyl so your only running approx 12 hp per cylinder. I am not sure of the internals on this and what they can handle, i am a honda guy. Ive got a full built turbo civic hatch so...this is all new to me. lol

Let me know how the install/power goes. I'm interested in seeing some track times!

keep me posted!

Hey this is Paul (from Iraq), Its a wet shot. Don't waist your time with a dry shot. Two years ago when i got nitrous the dry shots compatible with our car were only a shot of 30 anyways. On my site I described in detail the differences of wet vs. dry and my experiences with nitrous on the crossfire.
I will tell tou again, that its been two years the engine is well, the traction control is not affecting me. The most my technition said I could use is 75 without further mods. Please see my page called "Performance ideas". I'm not the only member that has NOS anymore. But I'm glad to help, I will check here soon.

hey paul did you change your plugs to a colder plug or leave them, i am gonna run the 75 shot and heard it is a good idea to avoid detonation but is it worth it because i know our cars have 12 plugs and looks like a nightmare. also did you do anything about timing or just leave it and have you gotten dyno graphs while spraying. i am just worried about the trac. control hitting while spraying because it will instantly go lean for a moment if that happens i believe. also if you did change plugs let me know what the number on the plug is if you did go colder, also what is the stock plug number anyone??

Sorry to go off topic, but I hope all is going well for you over there Paul.

Maybe if you get a chance, start a new thread and check in when you can.........let us all know you're alright!

where should i tap in and put the nozzle to spray. i see the throttle body and the boot coming up but it says 6- 18 inches is how far it should be from throttle body and isn't it after the mass air flow sensor. please explain where you tapped in to spray paul or pics would be amazing. also give me an idea of where to tap in for fuel, not too familiar yet with this engine but getting there little help in the right direction helps, thanks

so how about describing or giving better pics of your nozzle where it is mounted and where you tapped in for fuel
