Thumbs up Awesome Help!!! Let & Cpt!!!

I have to tell you, there are some good guys left to help you when in need. My proof:
I was recently sent to Washington state from Massachusetts for a 6 week project on short notice (to avoid a layoff really) and as we all know, I HAD to bring my SRT-6 with me. My problem was that on schedule the intercooler pump died (18,500 miles) and the stealerships could not get one in for a week. ( it was thursday and I needed to be 3,000 miles west by Sunday night). Mercedes had one but Chrysler wouldn't put it in under warrantee because it didn't have a MOPAR #.
Well, I called Eric at LET (Leading Edge Technologies) in Texas. He set me up with Al at CPT(Chicago Performance and Tuning). Eric overnighted a Johnson pump to Chicago while I drove there. When I arrived in Chicago Al not only installed the pump for a great price BUT HE CLOSED HIS SHOWROOM FOR A FEW HOURS AND LET ME SLEEP ON THE COUCH!. Also, while I was there, Al checked out the car for any issues I might have on my drive to Seattle and had Jerry (the local LET rep) flash the ECU for a very reasonable price.
IN summary, LET and CHP put in a better intercooler pump than stock for LESS than what the mercedes stealer wanted for the bosch pump alone and they allowed me to make my cross-country trip with time to spare before Monday morning work time . I tell you, besides great work these guys are real human beings who care about more than just money. They truly like to help! On my way back to the east coast, I may have to stop in Chicago (or Texas if I have time) and have some more work done!! (oh, On the long straight roads of Montana, the ECU flash and new pump paid off, Let's just say that if I had gotten flagged for the speeds I reached, I'd be in jail for life!) THANKS AGAIN ERIC AND AL !! I OWE YOU !!

Tass

Hey Tass, I thought Montana was one of the no speed limit states. You can tell us what speed you hit. It's only illegal if they catch you.

As far as no speed limit goes, it was posted 75 but I only saw stateys near the city limits. My actual speed reached is up for debate but when i glanced at the speedometer when i took my foot off the pedal, the needle was a hair over the 160 tick. At that point I was approaching a hill so I chickened out. Best ride I was ever on for sure though!! The car was glued to the road (no bumps at all) and I felt like I was a foot lower to the ground! I can't wait for the return trip!

When you SWING back through Montana let me know your coming and I will turn you on to some of the most fantastic freeway runs in the country. Damn those Rockies and the Missouri River cut out some incredable canyons didn't they.
Enjoy The Ride...
Mike
