can you bring the injectors down and modify the fuel rail with a ss braided line to clear the t/ body. Looks like you are going to have fuel pool issues with that setup.

Fuel pool where? Please clarify your theory.

Injectors spray at an outward pattern, which is why people mount them durectly into the incoming aircharge as close to the combustion chamber as possible. With what you show, the fuel is going to collect on the walls of the injector tubes, and drip down, causing pooling instead of A/F atomization. This will actually cause a lean burn condition.

I figured you were going to say that. If you pull a factory injector out of your manifold and shine a light into the injector bung you will notice that the injector is firing extremely close to the port wall. In fact it is closer than the clearance I have in the tubes I'm using. The conical spray has to exceed .55 inches in width one inch from the injector nozzle for the spray to collect in the tube. I'm not saying its impossible, just that I have slightly more clearance than the factory setup.

Thats fine, you just increased the path that the fuel travels about 3 times. The longer distance will cause it to start to pool. Just trying to give you7 some food for thought, I'm not "pooling in your pie"
You work looks pretty good so far, and I would like to see the finished product.

Got the belt on and cranked the car for the first time. It ran smooth but rich from the larger fuel injectors. The supercharger has a nice light whine to it. I have'nt installed the FMU yet and the meth injection needs to be set up. I'm not running the secondary air pump or egr. No CELs popped in the five minutes I ran it. Tomorrow I'll put the finishing touches on everything if the weather holds out.

come on guys, lets not split cunty hairs on the injector location, let's just see how well it works first then we can worry about improvements.

Give Chuck a break on the criticisms, he's nice enough to post pictures and do all the engineering.

No criticism here. I was just trying point it out if he ended up having drivability issues. I'm here to help. It's not what I would do, but this is not the thread for me to talk about it.

Chuck it looks great, and congrats on the project. If you have any issues, and need to bounce some ideas off of somebody I am here.

It rained most of today so I'm still in the process of installing the fmu. I'm also going to run a LED for the meth injection. Oh and I forgot to tap a manifold nipple for the boost/vac gauge.

I will definately post some video tomorrow.

I mounted the meth injection pump behind the front side of the passenger side wheel well. The tank for the washer fluid is behind the back cover of the same wheel well. The instructions say to mount the pump at the same level or lower than where the tank is tapped. This was the best place I could find. The line from tank to pump ran conveniently through the frame for protection.

Quick video of the car at idle. My cell phone sux as a camcorder. I have to find the cable for my miniDV so I can post better quality vids.

what are you using to tune the car and manage the boost?

There really is no boost management for a supercharger. The throttle body restricts enough air intake to allow the supercharger to spin in a vacuum at low throttle positions(same as srt6). I was planning on running a bypass valve to increase the efficiency at low engine speeds but ultimately I think that when the valve closes under acceleration it would cause a spike in the map sensor readings and maf readings that the computer would read as an error. The only additions I have on the car are the methanol injection, larger injectors, and an adjustable rising rate fuel pressure regulator which is still in the installation process. Other than that its still running the factory tune. I drove it around town under light throttle with no issues. Saturday I should be ready to test WOT and see if I get any knock and what psi I'm going to build with the setup. I moderately accellerated once to see if the Meth was injecting at the 4psi I set the switch to and got 5psi on the gauge at about quarter throttle. I connected the light on my boost gauge to the injection pump so I know when the injection is spraying. Very responsive above 2000 rpm. With the porting I did to the blower I'm thinking I may get around 8-10 psi from it. Anymore than that and I'll be looking for a larger SC pulley or possibly catastrophic failure.
