Default Inflation sensor(s)

Does anyone have real information about resetting the tire inflation sensor on the dash?

I would like to make it all go away as I monitor my own pressures and swap back and forth with slicks, thus the indication. The slicks dont have inflation sensors, and I dont intend to install them.

I need to have a person that has really done this as the book info does not seem to be available, at least I have not seen it yet and really wanna get this light reset, yeah I could cover it , the computer will not ignore that either. If you know please help me, thank you, Woody and enjoy.

yeah I started a thread in the help section. try searching.

from what I was told you need 4 ring sized magnets, and place them over the stem valves, to reset the dummy light.

but to reset the level at which they activate you need the drb-3 computer or take a trip to the dealership to reprogram the stems

How do you use the 4 magnets?

Do you apply them and turn on the key or what?

Details are hard to obtain and I too wanna avoid the indignity of going to the dealer to train them on crossfire issues.

My last issue code PO221 was news to them and they were escalating it to the national level for assistance, help. No results yet.?

You don't need 4 magnets.....only one. The procedures are in the service manual (available for download somewhere here on the forum). If memory serves me correctly, you have to get into the system with the drbIII and then start with the left front, moving in a clockwise direction to set/reset them. The special tool (magnet) number is also listed, I believe. Good luck.

Thumbs down Re: Inflation sensor(s)

The use of the code tool is the rub as they are 4000$ on ebay or available at the dealer.

Either way it is looking like it is not something that you can do for yourself. That bites and is not good for owners, little children, or puppies....Boo

Bummed out, Woody

I have no clue, but if it is a bulb, remove it.
