Re: Key stuck in the ignition
I had the same thing happen to me once with my SRT-6.
I put the car in park, engaged the handbrake, turned the engine off, and tried to remove the key, but it was stuck. After turning over/ shutting off the engine without freeing the key I decided to shift into reverse and shift back into park. Once the transmission shifted from reverse to park I shut off the car again and out popped the key.
I assume the transmission did not shift into park the first time, and the tumbler held onto the key as a safety mechanism.
I have not been able to reproduce this, with the auto-stick in park and the ignition tumbler still holding on to the key. The tumbler will hold onto the key if you turn the car off with the transmission engaged.

That is a sign that the key cylinder in the ignition is going bad. It happened to my '04 Crossfire. I recommend you take it to the dealer to get it replaced ASAP. Mine went bad while it was still under warranty, and Chrysler paid for it and the labor. It takes them as much as 1 month to get a replacement cylinder from Germany. Good luck with it.
